We've started centralizing work on BIP 448 tooling and Proof of Concepts at github.com/bip448 This is meant to be a collection of repos with code artifacts demonstrating tooling or use-cases, of varying quality. Please take a look, make suggestions, open PRs against branches if you have work, etc

I took this photo a bit over a year ago, thinking to myself how laughable this marketing was. It was entirely predictable that these photos would be misused eventually.
A photo of a sign at LAX airport International arrivals. It shows an older white male traveller having their photo taken. Text: "Our policies on privacy couldn't be more transparent. Biometric Facial Comparison. Faster meets more secure. U.S. Customs and Border Protection"

Lots of drama re OP_RETURN on the other app. I don't see it discussed here. If anyone here has questions or comments, happy to take them.

I understand where they'd be coming from due to how Bitcoin has been associated with this administration but the Google employee(s) rug pulling the dev list held together by a couple of volunteers for a mostly disorganized open source community is such a prejudiced, petty and unethical move.

I often hear "Doing consensus cleanup would make it easier to do future soft forks" being touted. If anything it makes me more uncomfortable to ever actually formally propose it eventually. I don't get how people don't get this.

So @proton.me mail will encrypt emails sent to a domain for which a WKD was set. Seems fine to assume domain owner knows their shit and will be able to decrypt if WKD was set. But still a pretty surprising thing to do completely silently. And looks like you can't disable it in the settings.
