the ordeal is mostly over! have some payment issues that needed sorted out (well when I tried to message AND call japan-figure to find out why it was still on 'label created' after a week with no answer (phone # was always closed no matter what time I called) but I have it now, at the very least.

my black convoy optimus still in the package!

BYOC slurpee day with @miishiikins.bsky.social ... apparently you get one free when you buy the slurpee tumbler so got me a coke one and a mountain dew one and a hot dog! nice to have one within walking distance of us.

a slurpee-shaped tumbler, a blue, white and pink tumbler, and a big bite hot dog from 7-11.

follow up: fired it up with @miishiikins.bsky.social last night and actually finished it! needed a very odd cheat code to unlock unlimited continues though: do 10 of those back kicks in a row at the start of level 4 & you can keep continuing all the way to the end! also apologies for the flash here:

#randomgamesaturday always seems to coincide with my latest pickups, but I thought I would start the SEGA Master System collection! I keep seeing SMS stuff whenever I watch the retro youtuber folks going to conventions, so it's really made me miss the system.

new pickups! had to get MGS Collection 2, I only ever played MGS4 once, so I'm definitely due for another go! and while I'm waiting on the Black Convoy Optimus to arrive, I got the itch to also find the Bumblebee, so found a good deal on a loose one on ebay, and he finally arrived today!

#randomgamesaturday SO I'd ordered NFL BLITZ 2000 but accidentally got one of those defective first printings, so this month I was hoping to replace it with the fixed one... but he sent me 2001 instead. yknow what I'm not complaining. as long as it doesn't have the audio issues I think I'm good.

It's pink because it used to have my wife's clothes in it before we were able to upgrade to a real dresser. Top drawer is NES, SNES and SFC games, (plus a few 2600 games) middle is Genesis and Saturn (which is mostly imports minus one game) and the bottom is DC and PS stuff (US and JP)

been having the itch to dust off the arcade 1up Ms. Pac-Man* after I got out of the ER from my ordeal last week and been playing on it lately, actually just broke my old record on the fast mode! so I was proud of this score. * do me a solid and spare me the '1ups are trash' comments, TYVM.

Back from date night with @miishiikins.bsky.social at one of our local hangouts, Fat Joe's! vibe was kinda loud and chaotic, but I enjoyed the food. Also the arcade was mostly nice, spent most of my quarters on the pandora's box!

selfie of us waiting for our food! me in my green and gold zelda t-shirt, and her in her blue plaid button-up dress shirt.

my personal pan pepperoni/sausage/bacon pizza toppings still tried to come off but wasn't as bad as it was previously!

mishi's burger and fries, she said it was pretty good but could use more tomato.

New vinyl score! TMNT: Turtles in Time! found out it wasn't prohibitively expensive, and I've been trying to get better about CDs/DVDs/Vinyl, so I thought this would be sweet to add to our collection!

was a bit sidetracked with other stuff when I got in, but we're back from another successful FCBD! took @miishiikins.bsky.social up for sushi and she treated us to lunch! then walked next door to get our fill of the freebies, then over to dunkin' for some drinks before we came home.

my FCBD haul (way too many comics to list individually, but definitely grabbed the capcom ones and some of the classics like he-man, for sure. plus Toaplan Shooting Collection 2 since I had ordered it yesterday, and a new PC controller.
