I watched eight episodes of #AgainstofTheCurrent in 2 days, which a lot for someone who rarely has time to watch TV. 😅 I'm so invested in the story with the maids and the court politics, I don't even care about when the romance starts. Give me drama. It's so well written and raw.

#AgainsttheCurrent lives up to the hype, that first episode especially. I watched four episodes today and I'm very pleased. I'm happy to see Li Meng again, she eats up every role she plays and Liu Xueyi (my beloved Wu Xin ❤️), happy to watch him again. Very curious to see where this show is going.

Wake up, babe. The Prime Minister just dropped “hydronym”.

The name Lake Ontario comes from the Wendat word Ontari’io, which, appropriately, means “the lake is beautiful, the lake is big”.

The name is more than 400 years old, predating both the Confederation of Canada and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.

We know that America is changing. Their trading relationships, their foreign policies, their national monuments, their hydronyms.

Canadians also know that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario – then, now and always.

All done with Copper Coins! I really loved it. Xue Xian is a top tier character, Xuanmin's identity and his past slowly unraveling was my favourite part. And the side characters - Tongdeng and Jiang Shining particularly, were so endearing. I love this book and I will absolutely read more Mu Su Li.

Xuanmin glanced at the fruits in the courtyard. After a few weeks of Xue Xian's vigil, the raindrops were now polishing each loquat to a gleaming golden yellow. They were vivid as they hung heavy from the branches.
When Xuanmin returned his eyes to Xue Xian's face, found the dragon with a corner of his mouth quirked up
he
Xuanmin watched Xue Xian for a moment before he
dropped his head to press a kiss to those smiling lips
Perhaps this was what the world's finest days looked
like.
Gentle rain on loquat leaves, and peace throughout the
prosperous land

I think I would like keep reading Mu Su Li when I'm done with Copper Coins. Three Hundred Years of Longing is near completion so that would be easiet but the premise of Panguan also intrigues me. 🤔 One I could start right away, the other I would have to wait a bit.
