My only thoughts, that no one asked for, on the iced coffee at a job interview bologna is that rich people REALLY hate that the rest of us also get to enjoy the peak treat that is iced coffee. They are CONSTANTLY mad about something iced coffee related 😂

We ended up with free tickets to the Violent Femmes last night and then a friend tipped me off that local legends The Creature Comforts also had a show. Since we're not huge VF people (and it was hot, outside, and sold out) we bounced early and caught both! Live music really fills my cup!

Was feeling bad about how often I delete selfies in disgust these days and I remembered I've been tearing up pictures of me that I don't like since middle school. Comforting to know I'm not just hating getting older, there's just more opportunity for the camera to not capture the truth these days.

How do you even invite people to things anymore?? Half the people I know aren't on Facebook and now I'm told that no one trusts evite type things because there are a lot of phishing ones going around. I'd go back to mailing paper but I often need an RSVP headcount. We used to have a proper country.

I didn't expect to thrive in the suburbs but shouldn't have underestimated how much living next to a GOOD Sonic improves my mental health. No shade on the Downtown KC Sonic with 2 employees total but it turns out you actually need teenagers if you want the tots cooked to perfection.

I'm not a person who needs to love my job, I'm not defined by what pays the bills, but man there's not a single task I look forward to at this job. It's not all dread or anything, just no spots of joy. No weird little things that are kinda fun to do or feel rewarding when complete.
