That we all have good taste and are part of a very good club together. I consider it a high honor.

The "yuri is male gaze" debate becomes gut-bustingly hilarious once you realize that, more often than not, the genre is created by female mangaka sitting at their desks like:

Depends on the comic but sometimes, yes! Usually only when it is a short thing that doesn't heavily involve story.

Comic panel 2 - J and Mollie, their creators, stand in front of a color wheel labeled “wheel of costumes”. J, on the left has blue hair, Mollie has black hair.

Like Absurd Theatre is miles away from Rose Princess and yet we have still come together to be like mmm yes having dark hair and being brooding is awesome, actually. I love this for us.

110

Yes! I think on first glance, someone who doesn't know these stories might assume a lot of them are the same but uh, there is a huge variety of stuff going on here and the only through line for a lot of these is the trans guy is cool and has dark hair lol

110

All good. And lol I just post your images from my account and then credit you and link back to your accounts. It's as simple as that.

Glad to hear that!!! Yessss the more I see of cool trans dudes the more I'm like... people must know the power of this... they must read the things!!

OK, I gotta go to bed, but I'm going to leave those posts up and I BETTER NOT FIND YOU TAKING ME IN BAD FAITH WHEN I WAKE UP. Do not make up a version of me in your head to be mad about because I expressed liking or noticing something. Be on your best behavior! 😘

This was supposed to include the word "FORGOT" lmao you can tell how distressed I am

190

Ok, hold on, LOL what other cool trans guy with dark hair from an indie project am I missing because I CANNOT believe myself for forgetting Sergio and Gaueko for a minute, like a FOOL. LIKE A DAMN FOOL. 😭

0120

OH MY GOD I MULTIPLE GUYS WHO ARE COOL AND TRANS WITH DARK HAIR FUCK OK OK I HAVE TO MAKE THIS POST BECAUSE NOW IT'S ABOUT ARCHIVING THIS PHENOMENON???

Gaueko from Nasty Red Dogs (ONE OF THE BEST TO EVER DO IT)

Honestly, seeing this image, I think I'm going to have to write up a blog post that talks about /why/ I find these stories/depictions so affirming and empowering. I think a lot of it is simply that everyone in the world seems to be allowed to be cool except for transmasc folks?

Stories in order... Absurd Theatre: caedestyles.itch.io/tatoeh-act-i Kill Crush: rainydayatelier.itch.io/kill-crush Rose Princess: darkchibishadow.itch.io/the-fall-of-... Seafoam: diurnaldays.itch.io/bladeofseafo... The Titan: titancomic.net 🔥 All fantastic stories very much worth your time!

0173

2026 is the year everyone embraces the simple joy of fantasying about being a cool trans guy. Coincidentally, this fantasy also involves having dark hair. (Seriously though, I love that this is a thing we've seem to come together on. It makes me feel so good.)

From left to right: Eric, Nate, Fox, Toshiaki and Ansel. All very cool trans dudes.

39125

Stories like this make me realize just how much I've lived my life never really seeing myself in something and how insanely good it makes my brain feel to simply get a story of a trans guy being cool and getting the gal. (All with complicated feelings, of course.) Loved this. 😭🙏

My legacy of Edwin sucking on the tit at any chance possible. I will make sure it appears in every possible adaption of these two. Season 1 has an episode, the comic has a chapter, AND NOW I MUST COMMIT TO SEASON 2 HAVING IT TOO. MY KINGDOM OF TITTY SUCKING.

If it makes you buy the comic... then yes :) Naw, just wanted something that matched Mothman and she is more inspired by a snowy owl than anything, bc they are both birds in my depictions!
