Caught Kiki's Delivery Service 4k remaster in IMAX after initially thinking I was going to miss the 1 day theatrical window. As ever, seeing Ghibli in a cinema is a treat enough. Sidenote: Snapped this quick titlecard pick before the movie's content began, in a screening with very few people.

I have loved the convergence of mangaka having a direct hand in theatrical anime movies over the last decade. But also, bring back inconsequential movies. Watching Frieren dandering through the countryside on a cinema screen would go so fucking HARD

Is there any word on the grapevine what's happening with the Dragon Ball Super manga? I read that there's a big rights power struggle for the Dragon Ball IP at the moment but that could be unfounded gossip. Or maybe Toyotaro needs more time & space after what happened?

Maybe this is just a me thing but at this age I don't really care much for power systems in anime and manga unless it's simple and the vehicle rather than the focus. Keeping track of the Nen stuff in Hunter x Hunter is making me lose interest and I kind of just want to say, "get to the point!"

Crunchyroll now has the dub for up to the end of Enies Lobby. I remember eagerly awaiting that dub's cast reveal 20 years back as a kid. One Piece has been handled astronomically badly in the UK. Until the last few years with streaming & Netflix deals, that's now changed.

Just my personal opinion, but having read the manga I think the story of Demon Slayer is mediocre - but the anime elevates it with insane animation. Going even further, the Infinity Castle movie was an incredible feat of filmmaking - truly an amazing film i'll watch & watch

I think this is prob quite common & I don't even think it's necessarily an anime thing, more a thing from just being so engrossed in the shows as a kid but want to get other thoughts. Can any of you basically name a voice actor from saying Pokémon, Yugioh etc just from hearing them say one line etc?

Grooving on some VA-11 Hall-A this morning! ☕️ 🎮 First impression is that it absolutely nails the Cyberpunk atmosphere. This game doesn’t sanitize its characters.. that’s for sure. 😅 Also, the soundtrack is really freaking good… 80s cyberpunk synthwave.

I only have 47 chapters until I catch up to Hunter X Hunter! I've read 155 chapters of this, alongside 71 chapters of Frieren, over the last 4 weeks. It's been a journey and I'm interested to see how Kurapika replaces Gon. I think I'll watch the anime to solidify the experience.

I loved that Pokémon Yellow touched on the anime, but at the same time what I absolutely loved about Gold & Silver was they had very rich and intricate plots that weren't afraid to do their own thing. There was so much lore - from Kurt, to Team Rocket, to Red Gyarados to the Unown. Bring back Johto!

I am the least gatekeepery person - I frequently argue against it (especially when it comes to anime) but I don't think it's gatekeeping to say you can't be a fan of a game if you just watch youtube videos of other people and have no intention to play it. What are we doing here - it's total nonsense
