Yeah, one of the main reasons I got off "normal" social media was I really did not want to know which of the people living within 100m of our house would gladly see a good chunk of our family "sent back where they came from".

One of the most underappreciated unforeseen consequences of the smartphone/streaming/social media era is the elimination of boredom as a key driver of creativity. Without boredom, there just isn't enough impetus for most people do go out and learn and do things.
