October first is exactly six months from April 1st, better known as April Fools Day. You can view October 1st in one of two ways.

You can decide that people's expectations of pranks will be at its theoretical lowest all year. So it's a perfect time for an October Fools' Day.

Orthe date should mark the opposite of April Fools', and lead to pranks that are pulled off to make someone look amazing/wise/the opposite of foolish. October Sages' Day, if you will.

I went to Cornell and really enjoyed being there for grad school. It was a really great place to learn and in many ways set me up for a lot. That said, rip it all up from the roots, I don't care how broadly it disrupts every friggin thing there and beyond.

Tim Curry had a small role in four episodes of Earth 2. No one saw the show besides me, but he was so incredibly good as a friendly, ingratiating, creepy astronaut / marooned criminal, frequently slowly grinning with a menacing, "Poppet..." An actor with incredible range and sincerity.
