People in our town like to bitch about their not being enough places to eat but new restaurants go out of business in less than two years because they hate anything new and the old families keep all the chain stores out to protect the mom and pop businesses nobody goes to.

Page 134 - One thing I appreciate now that I have a kid is how Roland uses his time before the mescaline kicks in to mend a hole in Jake's shirt after he cleans his gun. Time management is important when you're a dad.
