The theory is that if unemployment is too low, then greedy workers will demand ever higher wages, and higher wages will feed into prices, and higher prices will push wages (the price spiral). The simple logic is appe right? So presumably we had sky hig from 1945 - 1975? [2/n]

Ms. Law said the rising fuel prices had opened up "another world of poverty" for her family.
It now costs around 165 New Zealand dollars, or $97 — roughly double from before the war - to fill the tank in Ms.
Law's diesel S.U.V. She has Type 1 diabetes and needs to regularly visit a specialist in the city of Rotorua, almost two hours away. She used to make that trip every week, but can now afford it only once a month.

One of the least appreciated genres of review is of hi-fi equipment. How do you write the same review over and over again. This one is inspired by a $780,000 pair of loudspeakers to get personal.

I found myself drawn to playing intensely personal tracks. I chose to play 'I Loved a Man' from the 1958 West End production of Valmouth, not because it's a good recording - it isn't. Not even because I knew the voice well
- although I did. I chose to play it because some know the singer as Patsy Rowlands, but I knew her as 'mum.' Some atavistic part of my brain knew I'd be able to hear her voice in a way I hadn't since she died 21 years ago.
