DannoHung @dannohung.bsky.social · 13/10/2026Like I was saying, not an expert, but I've used different scaling algorithms on my photography and you get similar smearing on small details when applied beyond what it can really resolve. I *believe* this is consistent with that. There may be some other steps in the processing pipeline too. 000
DannoHung @dannohung.bsky.social · 13/10/2026I thought I saw someone saying that the whale encyclopedia bits were supposed to be a parody? I can't validate that myself as I don't know how to check when it was well known that whales were mammals. 000
DannoHung @dannohung.bsky.social · 13/10/2026I'm not like... a super expert on this, but it might actually be bicubic upscaling with edge sharpening. There's an AI example in that thread that is *much* better than what's in the game. 100
DannoHung @dannohung.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I wish there were customizable pod racers, but I already bought it because what’s there already looks fun as hell. I only had time to play one arcade race and it was sick. 000
DannoHung @dannohung.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Resonant is weird in the way Remedy games are best at. Find the first two traversal powers before anything else though. They make it way more fun. The zip to point one is a bit out of the way. I heard Dawnwalker is good, but I don’t really love fantasy RPGs. 000

DannoHung @dannohung.bsky.social · 05/10/2026It’s also generally interesting to me that we can have two superhero shows in about a year that background a lot of the flashy CG stuff and they both end up incredibly interesting. 0190
DannoHung @dannohung.bsky.social · 05/10/2026What black men can accomplish when they are given space to figure out what excellence means to them. It’s interesting how Kingsley’s mentor figure is so opposite and simultaneously similar to Chandler’s. How the power of the black leads is handled: thrust upon unwillingly vs earned compulsively. 1190
DannoHung @dannohung.bsky.social · 05/10/2026The only problem with the article is how excellent Aaron Pierre is. Dude’s just a phenomenal actor. That said, I think this show and Wonderman form a really interesting diptych somehow. I’m probably not the guy to write that article, but here’s what I’m thinking about: 1210

DannoHung @dannohung.bsky.social · 23/09/2026No. What I mean is 3, which was already highly regarded, is even MORE highly regarded. And there’s a large contingent who still really, really love 5’s design, and possibly appreciate it even more now. 120

DannoHung @dannohung.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Shadow of Mordor was great. *Maybe* not GOTY great, but we’re talking about a small downgrade. My perspective is that the patent on the nemesis system has caused it to fall out of the dialectic. 000
