I’m noticing a lot of real account deactivations on Xitter. These aren’t bots - people are voting with their feet. I’m seeing alot of “they’ll be back in a few weeks” but it feels like this exodus is different. People are fed up & want to build something better. If you left - will you go back?

I keep thinking about people defending weirdly harsh reviews of the newest Halsey album by saying “a music critic shouldn’t need context to understand an album, it should stand on its own even if you don’t know Halsey was dying from chronic illness” when like… it’s not subtext on the album? Like??
