You shouldn't stay alone at home like that. God beware of what may happen to you! You should instead find refuge at my home, where I would... ahem... protect you from all dangers!

You're correct! Sorry for my confusion. Le Creuset seems to be a smart marketing name hinting both at "Le Creusot", a city famous for metallurgy, and "Creuset" which stands for Crucible, or melting pot, used in metallurgy as well.

Trump happened primarily because of the dismissal of the working class by the center-left elites, and also because of the humiliation of lost useless foreign wars. The MAGA slogan is nothing else than the proposal to recover from this humiliation.

Hitler used the Reichstag Fire terrorist attack to publish the "Reichstag Fire Decree" that was essential in the establishment of Nazi rule in Germany. This method is not only simple, easy and cheap: it is historically validated and it is totally safe: full success is guaranteed.

The false-flag part would be as easy as 1-2-3: they would accuse Iran, or the disgusting, LGBT-tainted far-left antifa communist Democrats. Trump would then proclaim martial law and voilà. Note that this would be a repetition of Hitler's method to access to full power.

Their last well-known action was their coup attempt at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. It would be a trivial task for these groups to stage a false-flag terror attack on civilians. A convenient template would be the Twin Towers attack.

#Midterms #elections The simplest solution to cancel the US Midterm elections, and any future US elections, is of course domestic terrorism. Trump is already linked to far-right militia, notably the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers but many others are in existence.

Yes, I know that these mainstream heroes, born in the 60s, were promoting humanistic values, as was e.g. Disney (Zorro is an example). There were still memories of the New Deal and of anti-fascist WWII. Times have very much changed.

The goal is obviously to positive the notion of war, death and destruction. This approach talks directly to the death drive, this unconscious force that is an evergreen target for all fascists from Hitler to Trump.

Please have a look at the statistics of the blockbusters used by the WH video. Superman, Captain America etc. are millions and millions of views. Those are the foundational values. Arrogance, hate, violence, masculinity. Sorry. Trump was elected not once, but twice.

It was subsidized by an undervaluated currency during the 1960s and later by an equally favorable deal within the Euro. All EU countries had similar good welfare conditions so that’s not the differentiating factor.
001
danielausparis.bsky.social @danielausparis.bsky.social · 24/02/2026
History is full of examples that show that you need jobs, an industry etc. in order to maintain welfare. Again, look at UK and France. This, in turn, requires to organize fair competition through trade rules. The ITO was intended for that purpose, but has been hollowed out.
010
danielausparis.bsky.social @danielausparis.bsky.social · 24/02/2026
No. I didn’t think nor say that. My point was that free trade in competition with subsidized industries is destructive. The competition from japanese and german subsidised industries contributed to create the rust belt, which in turn maps to MAGA.

danielausparis.bsky.social @danielausparis.bsky.social · 24/02/2026
Free trade has already desindustrialized France and UK and provoked Brexit, although both countries are welfare states. Welfare states cannot exist and flourish without a serious trade regulation allowing them to create enough richness to support their expenses.

danielausparis.bsky.social @danielausparis.bsky.social · 24/02/2026
Interesting. However a welfare state would be constrained by free trade with countries competing with heavily subsidized industries. This is where the orange clown has a point, even if it hurts to admit.

Ok, fine. Actually I am expecting a dismissal of one of them too, since the present situation is not sustainable. If the new one is better, why not. That does not bode well with the future of Renater services, however...

OSS solutions need infrastructure, engineers, maintenance etc. This is not for free at all. So in my scenario the meeting would be with Jitsi, you say. So what’s the point of building a competing incompatible solution?

Imagine a very concrete situation. The director of an engineer school (equipped with Renater Visio/Jitsi) needs to have a video call with the finance department (that has the new, incompatible system). Solution: use Teams :-( But I think that all this boils down to a learning process.

A deficit-ridden country such as France does not need two identity providers, nor two different video utilities for its administration.
100
danielausparis.bsky.social @danielausparis.bsky.social · 02/02/2026
Then the requirements are probably faulty. Also, politics play a role. Renater depends on the PM, whereas the new video utility comes probably from a competing place such as the finance department.

danielausparis.bsky.social @danielausparis.bsky.social · 02/02/2026
Interesting! Thank you. So that they promote two different solutions instead of one. Double infrastructures, engineers, budgets etc. France is still in its infancy regarding such questions... Similarly you have now two competing identity providers... Very sad.

As an anecdote for you: the EU Commission made mandatory the usage of Microsoft products for all its management processes... You had to have a Windows machine and Word to submit a project proposal etc. Time for a change.

Agreed. Or actors who were bad from the start, like GAFAM monopolies. That's why a Jitsi-based solution is a welcomed diversity in this landscape, as are other Open Source solutions.
110
danielausparis.bsky.social @danielausparis.bsky.social · 01/02/2026
FYI more and more EU governments are now mandating Open Source solutions for their administrations. Nobody ever complained about "risks" involved by, say, Germans using LibreOffice. I see from your post and the comments that this emancipation from GAFAM hits a sensitive nerve. Be prepared for more.

danielausparis.bsky.social @danielausparis.bsky.social · 01/02/2026
You view this french initiative as having some sort of monopolistic ambition, which it has not; in the contrary this is a diversification from GAFAM monopolies. Also, if France goes fascist, the actual maker of the visio solution won't have much of an importance. We'll all be cooked anyway.
