What a rollercoaster, I don't even really know what to say. This has felt like a bookend to gatewatch era storytelling, written by the defining voice of that era of Magic story. I'm feeling very emotional about it. Will miss Jace x Vraska and wondering what Emrakul's up to in that moon of hers.

Almost as exciting as having THE @alisontheperson.bsky.social back to write #MTGFracture has been the response online. It's been a long time since I've seen the Vorthos community buzz like this! So many people talking about the incredible writing we've been getting this past week. Makes me hopeful.

I often think of Kruphix's Insight, one of the first articles I ever read. It was a story that set my expectations for what I was getting into with this hobby and that made me excited about what it had in store for me to look forward to. Now it's the wild west out there (sometimes literally).

As someone who's favorite Magic arc is og Ixalan I feel like my experience with this franchise is coming full circle. When I started in 2013, Jace was the game's poster boy and the three major unresolved threats on the horizon were The Eldrazi. Bolas & New Phyrexia.

Ch7 of #MTGFracture is done. I mostly don't want Jace to die so that they can keep bringing Alison Lürs back to write him. The reveal stream was also pretty cool, can't wait to keep finding out more about this set! It looks so cool and filled with love and attention.

Also love the little Chandra moments in this one, Alison fits so much lovely and endearing characterization into very little time with these characters! Her "half-ass" monologue in particular- *chef's kiss* Oh and the little moment where she's wondering if she should blame herself, poor girl.

Caught up to Ch5 of Reality Fracture, I should go to bed. I was ever so curious to see how Echoverse Vraska was handled and this was done rather tastefully. How interesting that in his perfect world she doesn't seem to love Jace, and that no matter what his love will be the original her.

This sliver of Jace has a lot more personality than I would have expected also, its honestly rather unnerving. Despite having so much shaved off he still is a lot like himself in some ways. Also loved this line- "Dense jungle concealing a protected interior—Garruk. Garruk? Fascinating."

Also this is Garruk's first appearance this decade, yay Garruk! Wonder what he's up to... The Guildpact characterization is super interesting, these compartmentalizations are such a great way to explore the many facets of Jace's character, looking forward to meeting more of them!

Got a bit behind, chapter 3 of #MTGFracture was great! Loved getting to see Alison Luhrs' Vraska again, the tragedy is beautiful in how it stings. Little line I loved was "Some city girl she is." She's lost not only her beloved, but her spark and her home. Like giirl 😫

Ch2 of #MTGFracture story, "Purge Yourself of Doubt" is great, I like how the story is taking it's time to introduce and reintroduce us to these characters instead of jumping right into the end of arc multicharacter action. Love the Lilianas. Excited to see some Tam on Innistrad tommorow!

Particularly love "I know where you put your shame!" and "I carved the one that knew away" The little Professor Opal parallel with Professor Onyx is very fun. Honestly the way Liliana is presented here felt activated in a way I haven't seen her written in years. She's back in the A plot baby!

I'm in. Ch1 of #MTGFracture Story, "Tam, Alive"" is not only paying titular homage to the first chapter of OG Ixalan, "Jace, Alone" but so too is it an exciting first look at the Echoverse and the characters that lie within. Excited to explore Tam and The Theorist's relationship more!

Just finished the Planeswalker's Guide to Reality Fracture by @arsenaultrivera.bsky.social and Meris Mullaley. Good read! I have been left looking forward to seeing how planes like Dominaria, Capenna, Zendikar and Amonkhet look like in a world without the Phyrexians, Eldrazi or Bolas!

Yeah no for sure. Just caught up to #MTGStrixhaven and like not that it's all that veiled but the fact that this arc started with Jace and Vraska mourning not being able to have a kid together... I'm just saying Jace for sure rewrote the multiverse for this.
