I need a modern MTG author to adopt Elspeth the way Seanan Mcguire adopted Tyvar or Alison Lürs adopted Jace & Vraska.

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Thank God!!! Goodbye peak art locked behind cards I can never hold in my hands! 🙏 Moment of silence for all the fallen... 😔

Now that the moon's gone, The Dark 2 will be coming 2028 set on Innistrad.

Almost as exciting as having THE @alisontheperson.bsky.social back to write #MTGFracture has been the response online. It's been a long time since I've seen the Vorthos community buzz like this! So many people talking about the incredible writing we've been getting this past week. Makes me hopeful.

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

As someone who's favorite Magic arc is og Ixalan I feel like my experience with this franchise is coming full circle. When I started in 2013, Jace was the game's poster boy and the three major unresolved threats on the horizon were The Eldrazi. Bolas & New Phyrexia.

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Just finished Ch8 of #MTGFracture, don't know if I can keep doing these individually. Just so good. I'll probably do some kind of deeper review once the chapters are all done and the emotions have washed through me.

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Ch7 of #MTGFracture is done. I mostly don't want Jace to die so that they can keep bringing Alison Lürs back to write him. The reveal stream was also pretty cool, can't wait to keep finding out more about this set! It looks so cool and filled with love and attention.

001

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Caught up to Ch5 of Reality Fracture, I should go to bed. I was ever so curious to see how Echoverse Vraska was handled and this was done rather tastefully. How interesting that in his perfect world she doesn't seem to love Jace, and that no matter what his love will be the original her.

100

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Inject Ch4 of #MTGFracture straight into my veins dude- "he curses the indignity of fate for making his captain walk" and "Jace knows he is going to die" It is only a shame we have not had Tam for longer. How exciting it has been to see how many people are excited about Magic story right now!

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

"Oh, sweetie. You fought Jace three times." How menacing! Ch4 of #MTGFracture was great! This is the best narrative following characters we know and love that we've gotten in years. Emrakul are you kidding me??? I don't even know if I have the words. What a beautiful and long awaited interaction!

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Got a bit behind, chapter 3 of #MTGFracture was great! Loved getting to see Alison Luhrs' Vraska again, the tragedy is beautiful in how it stings. Little line I loved was "Some city girl she is." She's lost not only her beloved, but her spark and her home. Like giirl 😫

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Ch2 of #MTGFracture story, "Purge Yourself of Doubt" is great, I like how the story is taking it's time to introduce and reintroduce us to these characters instead of jumping right into the end of arc multicharacter action. Love the Lilianas. Excited to see some Tam on Innistrad tommorow!

030

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

I'm in. Ch1 of #MTGFracture Story, "Tam, Alive"" is not only paying titular homage to the first chapter of OG Ixalan, "Jace, Alone" but so too is it an exciting first look at the Echoverse and the characters that lie within. Excited to explore Tam and The Theorist's relationship more!

111

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

10 chapters by Alison Lürs for #MTGFracture!!! Very happy and very excited! No one i'd rather have write the conclusion to Jarc (Jace Arc) than one of the most iconic voices of Gatewatch-era Magic Story.

111

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Alison Lührs?! Holy sh*t we're so back!!! 🙏

020

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Just finished the Planeswalker's Guide to Reality Fracture by @arsenaultrivera.bsky.social and Meris Mullaley. Good read! I have been left looking forward to seeing how planes like Dominaria, Capenna, Zendikar and Amonkhet look like in a world without the Phyrexians, Eldrazi or Bolas!

110

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Holy cow, could it be? I think I've caught back up on Magic Story. Huzzah! Spirits of the Abzan by @izzyxen.bsky.social was great, both as a heartwarming glance into one of modern Tarkir's most important leaders and as insight into a very interesting and unexplored era of the plane's history.

Cool new cards from the new Mystery Booster 3! Sick sick sick!

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

Day 2 of GENCON is in the books. Got to play a bunch of awesome games and interact with really cool people! This time each year I get this longing in me, a fire in my blood. I want to contribute to this world for a living so bad. I'll go home after this and keep fighting for that, making games.

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

Finished @seananmcguire.bsky.social's Omens of Chaos on the way down to Gen Con. Great book written by someone who always impresses with her loving depth of MTG ball knowledge. Hope this isn't the last we've seen of Kasmina, Mcguire's new Strixhaven quintet, or more full-length MTG novels (pls).

Me updating my Gen Con schedule after the Mystery Booster: Commander Edition announcement today 😅

020

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

My mom and I were able to bond a little over the fact that I checked out Fraggle Rock for the first time while researching for this game. 😅

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 11/06/2026

Couldn't have imagined the timeline a year ago where I become an Among Us animated show shill but guys you should check it out its so fun. Long live Innersloth and long live Owen Dennis making shows with 10 minute episodes and Ashley Johnson.

010

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

I decided to catch up on the non-Zerek Secrets of Strixhaven side stories this last week before reading Omens of Chaos. I'd honestly been putting it off for a little bit but am actually left rather surprised. I must say these might thus far be the highlight of the set for me.

100

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 02/05/2026

I'm seeing people trying to solve what colors the Vraskas will be in #MTGFracture and would like to throw my hat in. It's already messed up of Jace to make an alternate version of his girlfriend. I wonder if the logical extreme is that he makes her Azorius colored.

100

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 02/05/2026

So that's what was going on here! Each of the full art slow lands from Secrets of Strixhaven showed an openpath connecting to that color combination's Hexhaven counterpart. Love that little tease of #MTGFracture

150

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 30/04/2026

I want to say this is Mood Swings but I don't know how that would Secret Lair would be involved in that... so idk. Exciting though, wish I could be there!

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 29/04/2026

Yeah no for sure. Just caught up to #MTGStrixhaven and like not that it's all that veiled but the fact that this arc started with Jace and Vraska mourning not being able to have a kid together... I'm just saying Jace for sure rewrote the multiverse for this.

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 20/04/2026

I'm only now catching up to #MTGStory and in doing so have realized that I never read the side stories for #MTGLorwyn. My bad, lol these are 🔥🔥🔥

100

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 20/04/2026

A small highlight from #MTGStrixhaven for me. Love seeing creatures depicted off color such as this merfolk on Cost of Brilliance that is depicted as a Silverquill student. I'm all for more black and red merfolk, white and blue goblins, blue and green vampires...

100

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 20/04/2026

Woah "jokers are wild" is such a good tag line for Game Changer. Muah.

020

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 20/04/2026

As someone who finds myself wanting to like Prismari more than I often do I think this gets to the heart of it.

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 18/04/2026

It's such a simple thing but I really like that since Lorwyn we've been getting more than one pack art per set again :)

010

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 09/04/2026

My frog guy has just informed me that new frog just dropped.

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 09/04/2026

Acquired! Can't wait to read what Seanan McGuire has cooked up. Hopefully #MTGStrixhaven Omens of Chaos does well and it can mean much more Magic Story moving forward.

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 31/03/2026

Incredible, no notes. @magic.wizards.com please keep making cute otters in Izzet colors until the sun explodes. #MTGStrixhaven

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 31/03/2026

Y'know I feel like we've had spring on Ravnica, Summer on Ravnica, and Autumn on Ravnica. I want to see the next Ravnica set (preferably block pls) show us what the wintertime is like on Magic the Gathering's favorite city plane.

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 20/01/2026

As a big Mertolk fan, every once in a while I have to re-mourn the fact that @dannyschwartzart.bsky.social's art for Merfolk Tunnel-Guide is locked to an Arena-exclusive card. Dude it's so good :(

020

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 17/12/2025

You ain't slick @seananmcguire.bsky.social 👀, how absolutely diabolically cool of you. After the conclusion of the #MTGLorwyn story it seems the cool merfolk in the promo art for Omens of Chaos is Alandra, likely the daughter of iconic bulk rare Talrand, Sky Summoner! Kudos, such a cool pull!

020

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 16/12/2025

Just finished the #MTGLorwyn story by @seananmcguire.bsky.social! It certainly has left me looking forward to what comes next come Strixhaven (pre-order Omens of Chaos y'all) but I do feel like that story could have really benefited from a few more chapters of breath room.

130

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 15/12/2025

Just caught up to the #MTGLorwyn story, right in time for the final chapter tommorow. Wish I could have caught up a day sooner so I could have called the Oko reveal before it happened though. I feel like he was explicitly intended not to be from Lorwyn when first introduced.

110

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 08/12/2025

*wakes up* I hear the bells, after two sets of silence #MTGStory has returned. I guess I'll start posting again. Probably. Wait, who's the author?

100

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 20/10/2025

Wild that Grist was first printed like over 4 years ago and we still haven't seen them in any #MTGStory since. I mean we've had ample opportunity, insects are the new elves, they've been everywhere in recent years!

000

Dani Cervera @danicervera.bsky.social · 18/10/2025

I liked the Planeswalker's Guide to Lorwyn Eclipsed. Not revolutionary by Planeswalker's Guide standards but a good reintroduction to the plane nonetheless, great work to those who worked on it. Really looking forward to the full set and hoping the story gets some room to breath.
