#Rush #NeilPeart #CBC CBC is airing Neil Peart No One’s Disciple tonight. A must-watch for Rush fans and even if you’re not it’s a story about a great Canadian who went through huge personal loss, rebounded for a 2nd act only to be taken from us by brain cancer. Admired by his fellow musicians.

I’ve seen far too much misinformation like this. iOS 18.7.2 patched two of these exploits way back in Nov 2025. There’s no need to upgrade to iOS 26 if you’re not a fan of the new Liquid Glass design as long as you’re on iOS 18.7.2 (which was the last update released for all iPhones).

#Gas #LineUps #Oil Gas is about 10 cents cheaper ($1.99 a litre) than other stations and still the lemmings line up to save maybe $5.00 on a $100+ fill up. Meanwhile my EV still costs $11 to charge.

#Oil #Gas #EV I saw gas at $2.00/litre last night in Vancouver. That’s $9.08 a gallon CDN. For those down south that converts to $5.51 US a gallon. Our old gas vehicle would cost $127 to fill the tank from empty. Our EV STILL only costs $11 to charge from empty and gets us almost 500kms range. 😁

A funny read about repairing your own iPhone. The Right To Repair crowd doesn’t get this. There are many things around the house you can fix yourself and save money on. There are also devices that are precision engineered and require skill to repair. Better to let someone else fix it.

On Feb. 19, 1942, German soldiers marched through Winnipeg. The mayor, premier and Lt. Governor were arrested, and the city was renamed Himmlerstadt. Books were burned, and the German flag flew across the city. This is the story of Winnipeg's If Day. 🧵 1/12

Black-and-white photo of a group of uniformed soldiers standing outdoors in winter clothing and helmets, gathered around a small fire on the ground. Several hold stacks of papers and books, with loose pages visible as some are being dropped into the flames. The fire sits in front of a stone building entrance with round lamps on either side. A few onlookers stand behind the soldiers near the doorway. Snow or light-colored ground is visible underfoot.

The Right to repair crowd makes some good points. A perfect example is the appliance industry, where you can buy a washing machine for $500, but if the computer board fails they’ll charge you $400 for a new one. People will often buy a brand-new machine as it’s only $100 more (and has a warranty).
