When I was squatting, there was a divide between squats that felt that they couldn't stop anyone from moving in, and squats who felt that they could exclude people whose behaviour harmed others. The first group were terrible places to live and quickly lost most of their non-terrible people.

this is abusive by the way. when you do this, you are telling transfems they must make themselves smaller, more compliant, take up less space, not claim ANY epistemic legitimacy (i.e., never contradict you), in order to count as "not acting like MEN." it is a form of coercive control.
