Today's protests in Hasakah aren't particularly noteworthy - some people, largely from an Arab neighbourhood where the PYD was never popular, want more integration into the state - but the counter protest has finally given me a good photo of one of the wildly contraversial Mazlum Abdi flags.

Did you know you can just print whatever you want on cups? This is PLA, which isn't recyclable because it's a bioplastic, but also isn't compostable! They have to go to landfill or they'll contaminate actually recyclable plastics and potentially ruin the whole batch!

Proscribing Patriot Platform isn't going to stop this. National Action were proscribed 10 years ago. The State cannot stop this. What stops this is co-ordination between local journos, OSINT researchers, mainstream antiracist protest groups, and militant antifascists willing to defend communities.

The exact details of the what happened in Kobanî last night aren't fully clear yet. What's certain is that HTS* security forces arrested people protesting against the recent murder, then attempted to transfer them to another prison. The prisoners resisted, and eight of them were killed.
