There are a good number of highly successful deaf chefs as well. And as a veteran line cook, I simply cannot imagine how difficult it must be to have to look at somebody to communicate, or not be able to hear timers or listen to the temperature of the oil

I'm so glad that there aren't any cameras where I work. It prevents me having an awkward conversation with HR about exactly how often I walk halfway across a room and then have to recalibrate.

I work at a middle school. They still make emos, but not nearly as much as they used to. Sometimes I work at a high school. They have a somewhat better emo production rate, but unfortunately we are at critical levels of emo endangerment.
