But who could have seen this coming? EVERYONE. We all said this would happen. How did we know? Because we saw the same thing happen in other countries, like the UK. There are ways to minimize this effect, but of course Ontario has not taken any steps to that effect.

@mark-carney.bsky.social should not be making deals with big American companies. We should avoid them. Look to Canadian companies & investors first, then EU or other non-American investors. It is our over reliance on American corps that has caused our troubles in the first place. We need to learn!

XFG.* "Stratus" has been dominant in Spain for around 14 months. So it seems the ST.1 branch of it's tree has evolved enough to overcome the defences of those relying on diease-acquired immunity from prior XFG.* infections.

A model T made in 1908 (118 years ago) got about 9.5L/100km under road conditions similar to today. A F150 today gets about 11L/100km under similar conditions. The inflation & exchange adjusted price of gas in 1908 was about $1.50/L (Canadian).

Expect you to divulge the EXACT economics of a new pipeline. Have we paid for the pipeline Trudeau bought us? How much profit has been made? Where/who does the profit go to? Does the profit go to all Canadians or only investors? How many related permanent jobs (not office jobs) exist currently?

Fun facts: 🔥Since 2007, BC’s climate pollution has decreased by 2.3 million tonnes. 🔥Approved LNG export projects will increase BC’s climate pollution by 21.2 million tonnes by 2035. 🔥This is ten times more pollution than we’ve managed to cut in nearly 20 years.
Trends in BC's greenhouse gas pollution from 1990 to 2023, with two projected futures. Approved LNG projects will increase BC's emissions by 21.2 million tonnes. If we meet BC's climate targets emissions will decrease by 80%. From 2007 to 2023 BC has only reduced 2 million tonnes of climate pollution.
