Hmm. I remembered it from Maki Marukido's twitter posts at the time, which is why I went looking for which vol it was now that I have more context. I could see wanting to limit spoilers, but also what it shows feels inevitable to me, shocking as it somehow still is. Hard to balance there

I went and looked up the covers for the rest of the series - it’s not the next volume but the volume after that has the very ominous cover with Mamiya, so I look forward to the obvious consequences of the terrible decision making in this volume

i saw before that people said "apothecary diaries is really slow burn w/ regards to romance" so i wasn't really expecting that about only 10 minutes in jinshi would already be like "wow I hope she spits on me, i hope she dissects me like a bug but in a horny way"
