one of the most OCD things i do is stress that i do not in fact have OCD. but the reason i wonder about that is because i've accidentally been doing exposure therapy to myself for years now because i am fundamentally a curious bitch willing to test god the universe myself anyone and anything

i like pokopia a lot it's fun to build these little habitats and houses while listening to relaxing music. i do not enjoy the whiplash i feel every time they talk about The Humans.

cw for rape / incest convo i feel like people forget restorative justice is also supposed to be restorative for, yknow, the victim? so if someone is acting like they never did anything wrong and it was a long time ago and take their word for it it's totally fine now, that's not restorative.

truly such a good book to read while finishing off a florian pov chapter lmao my florian is not much like maia but he does think of himself as a sopping wet pathetic little meow meow. florian reading the goblin prince and going "wow this is so me" while everyone laughs at him

sampling 'wait for me' from hadestown is bad in of itself but sampling it for a song i don't like is catastrophic

finished that book yesteryear & was like, well it was kinda funny just too heavy handed for my tastes. solid 5/10. then i read the acknowledgements and saw how many famous people and major production companies helped write this book and holy fucking shit now it's a 3/10.‬

4. "what's that on your top? oh them pokeyman things you liked when you was a kid"
3. "you still got friends?"
2. "do you remember that girl you was always with, the one what died in that car crash"
1. "i don't like this new thing where people stop talkin' to their families, it's not right"

the tweet is 40 characters over the limit.

i would like to apologise for my behaviour, especially when it's just "how's it goin'" as the greeting. i will continue to mindlessly do this and if you ask why again i will look at you like you're the one doing something weird. i'm an ally btw.

just listened to chant (reprise) from hadestown 3 times in a row because i kept spacing out during my fave line & you can't just restart mid song you gotta finish it. then listened to it a 4th time because 3 is a bad number. i hope this isn't indicative of any underlying issues i'm in therapy for.

Kingfisher 🪶 🐡

Photo of a small painting being held by a hand for scale with a small paintbrush visible resting on the table behind it. The painting is of a female belted kingfisher, a dark blue and white bird with a long pointed beak evolved for catching fish. This bird has the belt of orange-red feathers which gives it its name and indicates it's a female. The painting is soft and a little dreamy with an out of focus grey-blue background.

What can't be forgotten about 9/11 is the ocean of BS controversies and cancel campaigns in the aftermath, like the backlash to this 2002 Starbucks ad that was accused of portraying the towers as cups and insects as the airliners (???)
