This terf has had a decent music career, but she’s hardly one of our “most brilliant”. I am curious who she thinks, she’s like, sitting in self exile in Ibiza. Likely not understanding Ireland in 2026, except what she perceives (like glinner) from her toxic, obsessed twitter window. #speirgorm

Ireland, I'm unbelievably disappointed and disillusioned with you. I'm beginning to think it was all fake and that we are actually the most insincere fuckers in Europe. The thousand welcomes and the so-called "craic" all seem sickeningly fake to me now.
There's a reason our most brilliant artists hated the place.

Open letter from people of Protestant backgrounds
concerning the Garvaghy Road
We feel compelled to speak publicly about what is
happening in Portadown....

An open letter to the Rt Hon Chris Bryant MP, Secretary of State for
Northem Ireland, and Helen McEntee TD, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade

Dear Secretary of State and Minister.
hold a wide range of views on politics, faith and identity, and no single label
captures our diversity, but we are commited to our shared socety, and we teel compelled to speak publicly about what is happening in Portadown.
We value the peace and proaress built since the 1998 Agreement. We want our children and grandchildren to inherit a future free from the anguish of the past, and we are anxious that some now seem willing to reopen old wounds.
Whie we recognise that the Portadown District LOL regard Drumcree as unfinished business, we are distressed by the trauma that is being visited on the residents of deeply and still lives with the legacy of the parading disputes of the 1990s, which cost lives and left lasting scars.
Many of us have family and friends for whom parading is a valued tradition, and some of us have been directly involved ourseives. We recognise its importance to
many in our community. The vast majority of loyal order parades take place each year without restrictions - an outcome enabled by agreements and arrangements reached after exhaustive efforts. All of that is now being called into question, with potentially devastasing consequences far beyond Portadown
We appeal to the Orange Order to look towards the bigger picture and bring this impasse to an end in the interests of our entire community.
Wo urge the British and Irish Goverments to act together and without delay: to restore stability, to ensure that the parading framework is robust and trusted, and to
spare…

Driverless vehicles are nearly here, so I said I'd jot down a few notes of my vision of how it will play
out...
Cars will be fully autonomous i.e. There will be no need for humans to take over (They're too slow and make too many mistakes).
People will no longer own cars, they'll pay as they go or pay a flat fee like any utility.
Cars will be cheaper, to run, as there'll be less accidents, they'll run more hours in the day without sitting outside a house & overall fuel costs will be reduced (no need for petrol stations).
We'll have much more choice, we'll use a two seater with a table for our laptop to go ti work Fri morning, we'll use a 4 seater with minibar to go out Fri night & order a seven seater with storage to go on hols on Sat.On the other hand manual cars will become much more expensive, mainly due to insurance (humans much more dangerous than machines) & manual cars will become a niche market - think vinyl vs cd vs spotify. However, there will probably remain a market for petrol heads in recreational motor sports on private tracks.
We have to think of the future car as more like ants, rather than truly autonomous agents. They will communicate with other cars (car2car communications) informing each other thousands of times a second about what they are doing, if they are taking the next exit or if they have a sudden loss of tire pressure. Cars will react appropriately to each other allowing much closer driving and better use of the road. They won't get pissed off.Cars will also talk to a central agent (Car2Infrastructure) - Think Air Traffic control. This is constantly updating the car about weather conditions, traffic conditions, road closures, breakdowns etc. The cars will also be able to feedback to the infrastructure giving accurate
realtime local conditions en masse. The infrastructure will also be able to predict (humans are pretty predictable), based on time of day, year and weather where most usage will be needed - Think about the beach on Friday of June bank holiday.
The infrastructure will likely need to be owned by a central semi state & be reasonably accessible to everyone in the state, think ESB networks. The cars could be provided by private eg eircorr, 2manaí & we'll have an account like a mobile phone account. In the interim people won't wanna give up their prized car, so we'll probably see modification kits to turn that classic car autonomous. There is a company just beginning to investigate this in the US for haulage.
Hmm haulage, this is where we'll likely see the first vehicles, as reducing shipping costs will make this affordable.
Rising insurance costs & the reduced cost + convenience of an autonomous vehicle will ultimately drive (
) people into them.
Taxis, drunk driving, road rage, waiting at side of road because of a breakdown, all a thing of the past..... & more, we're only getting started. BTW, if you live down a boreen, a man on a bike can do a 1 time plot of your road & house & upload to the infrastructure.

Today is 96 days since I started HRT, something which I had dreamed of being able to afford to do for years. I have felt trapped for my whole life in the body/life of a stranger. I am very fortunate to have the support of my family and friends..
l've been to some very dark places. I joined organisations for the wrong reasons, abused my body out of self hate, mixed pills with booze, and hurt people I care about in moments of anger. I've made many mistakes trying to prove myself to others rather than just admitting who I am inside.
All this said l am quitting the organisations I never truly fit into & joined for bad reasons. I'll be posting a lot less about politics as it's harming my mental health daily. I am sorry to anyone who feels misled and I know most of yous won't accept this. But for the first time in my life these past months I have felt hope that life is going to be better and worth living.
