This story is a great example of when @prisonculture.bsky.social speaks on picking something to focus on, organize around it, and keep at it! You don’t have to do it all, but what you do, could make all the difference.

Related: trying to figure out whether circa 2026 the term "dub techno" has become completely meaningless, or if the "genre" tag has simply become a catch-all for broad, open-armed world of electronic producers administering types of echoes and fluctuating rhythm. Loving the latter...

We're going to have a better understanding of the 19th century than of the 21st century. I don't think people are fully appreciating this.

🧵! If you never read Tressie on Dolly, treat yourself. But this thread's not just about grief for a fallen legend (or two), but for the destruction of—and inability to create—environments and spaces where future genius can blossom.

LAST WORDS FOR JERRY GARCIA By Robert Hunter Not the same thing as the more widely published Elegy, which is magnificent and worth your time to look up if you haven't seen it. From a privately published collection of Hunter's elegies and funeral poems for friends and family

Go naked in the world,
Wind for your cloak and coverlet.
Whom the Gods love best
they reward with early death,
gather them into the sun,
reflect them in moonlight,
crown them with comets,
anoint them with shooting stars

Go naked to the Throne of Stars,
go as the stars go,
arrayed in their own
incandescent light.

Go and our hearts go with you.
Return to the sourceof the soul
by way of the Sacred River,
royal road to the sea
where all shall be music
and dreams shall be dreams
no more, but visions
of the World's foundation
scattered among the stars.

Dust shall be dust
and the voice of dust
shall be music,
pleasing to God
who sent it forth
in search of melody
to crown His silence
with eternal song
