I can't possibly emphasize this enough, especially if they're bigger than breed standard (which many are). GSDs are *powerful* dogs that are built to be focused and engaged all day. I love our wild rescue with my whole heart and soul. She is part of me like no dog I've ever known…

What’s a poster you had in your room growing up? Fantasy, horses, and astronomy, all rolled into one! My teen self had this one up for years and took it with me when I moved out.

For today's bird of the day theme, #Elegant I decided on this distinctive flight of an 'iwa (Great Frigatebird) alongside the moon in a daylight sky. "'iwa" means "thief" in Hawaiian, as these birds like to steal fish from other species. So I called this image "Stealing The Moon" :) #birds 📷🌿🦉

Sasha (joined us at age 3) and Swayze (4 months). Each of these is the day after we picked them up. With Sasha, we got home super late, for Swayze, this pic shows just how small she really was.

This, but LOOK AT THE POSTMARK, make sure the date is clear and legible before letting them toss it in the bin. I didn't get to vote in 2024 over this. Went to the office & looked, the black ink date was on a black part of the postage stamp. Can't see the number? They call it late, throw it out.

One of my college jobs was Marine Life Support Services Technician, better known as that gal who stops by rich people's houses, and cleans the fish tank. Pay was awful, but I took care of some very cool creatures, including gorgeous lionfish. Learned a lot and enjoyed the animals, so overall a win.
