I'm playing with a full fan voice acted mod, so sometimes the lines will sound a bit funny. "WEAPON IS HERE." "We need to stop Meteor." "We need Holy." 😅

...Now I'm really curious which Vampire the Masquerade clan you'd be.

My man making the big moves. We love to see it.😌

I'll need to get some lactose free milk in a smol pack first. Actually my family might have some in the fridge.

Playing through the OG, it's clear the Japanese script used common English words cause to a Japanese player, the common English word would sound exotic or cool. But to an English player..."It's a WEAPON!" doesn't hit as hard. Same thing with "Meteor" and "Holy."

I'm not really a cereal person. I didn't eat it much as a child. So I'll try the cereal bar with a milkshake. 😌

Ohhh, but they didn't give it an official name during gameplay. It's weird since that one is unnamed. Then we have Emerald and Ruby. And then there's Ultimate...which just gives you Ultima.

Surprised there was no Sapphire Weapon. 👀

Time to evolve my streaming so I can beam into people's dreams. 👀

Congrats Carly! He's one of the hardest bosses in the entire Souls series. Since you played Lies of P beforehand, what are your thoughts on Bloodborne now?

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 1h

All Ultimate Weapons and level 4 Limit Breaks acquired. Only thing left is to defeat the superbosses, and then the final dungeon and boss fight which I promised to stream. See you all around tonight at 8 PM PST. www.twitch.tv/cynetrunner

... I've never had cinnamon toast crunch. Should I try a cereal bar??? 👀

Me when an acquiantance doesn't order anything when I get food, but keeps asking for my fries. 😭

I haven't played the remakes yet, but I'm also excited!

110

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

That's a beautiful shot! Weather looks amazing too.

000

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

Sounds like it's time for another replay! Have you played the remakes as well?

110

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

It would be funny if the Supernova attack also lasts a full minute and 30 seconds, and is unskippable in Revelations. 🙃

110

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

When's the last time you played it?

110

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

I also learned last night that Remake and Rebirth only cover Disc 1 so far. Which to be fair, Disc 1 was extremely long. This means Revelations is gonna be Disc 2 and 3. Oh man... 👀

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

That's what I quickly realized with these minigames. They were meant to be played with PS1 controllers which didn't have analog sticks yet. So movement, rotating camera...super clunky. 😭

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

Huge fan of the books here as well, so I'm super intrigued now.

110

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

Oh man, I loved Gwent in Witcher 3, Blade in Cold Steel 1 and 2, and Vantage Masters in Cold Steel 3 and 4. 😅 I can see if you don't enjoy card games, how it would suck. 👀

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

Thanks to your posts, I have just learned the game now has an offline single player mode. I am now interested. I wish more MMOs did this. 👀

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

What's wrong with the anime beach episode? That's where we get to ride a seguway, right? 👀

100

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

I can totally see that if you're a reviewer. But I'm also heard similar complaints from friends on here who've played. Now personally I actually enjoy minigames, but not when the controls are clunky like in OG FF7. 😭 I'm super looking forward to Queen's Blood!

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

Damn the dude in the second image on the left skips squats day smh.

020

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

I remember you telling me this the last time we hang out. After finally playing it for myself, I'm with you. The game's story and characters live rent free in my head. Might be one of, if not, my favorite horror game of all time. 😌

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

Their initials spell out NBD (no big deal) 🙃

210

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

I'm not looking forward to Blitzball or Lightning Dodging when I replay 10...which funny enough was my first FF game. 😭 And yeah, honestly I haven't disliked any minigame I've played in most modern video games. Older games minigames are often hit or miss.

One of my favorite shots from OG Final Fantasy 7. Thanks to the texture and field model mods I'm using, it looks even more beautiful.

Cloud and Tifa sitting together under the Highwind airship. It's dusk in the background

Same scene, but Cloud's back is facing Tifa's back. Under Highwind.

Background now shows daylight.

1111

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

That's a fair take. I don't mind minigames, I actually enjoy them. I just don't enjoy them if they're clunky and unfun to play.

010

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

Sorry, we're getting a new series starring Naruto's grandson, and Boruto's son. His name is Doruto. Which many people will pronounce as Dorito. 🙃

220

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

I don't mind longer or complex minigames. What I do mind are clunky minigames that have clunky controls. I'm one of the rare few that actually enjoys fishing side quests or minigames in JRPGs lol.

110

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

If your Sister looks like this, her name's probably Ray.

Sister Ray cannon from OG Final Fantasy 7.

020

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 4h

But in all seriousness, the Remake better keep the slap fight scene between Tifa and Scarlet. That shit was hilarious lol.

040

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 6h

Kinda reminds me of Iron Man's comic book suit evolution. 🤔

020

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 6h

I love card games, and am a huge Gwent fan. So I think I'm going to love Queen's Blood. 👀

110

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 6h

I don't mind the concept of them on paper. It's just the controls feel so clunky. Especially since OG FF7 was made for the PS1 before analog sticks existed on controllers. 😭

110

CyNetrunner @cynetrunner.bsky.social · 6h

Have not played FF7 Remake nor Rebirth yet. A common complaint I've heard about Rebirth is its forced minigames. There's no way Rebirth's minigames can be worse than OG FF7's own forced minigames like snowboarding, submarine shooting, or hypothermia control. The latter two are the worst. 😔
