Scrubbed up well … kudos to MG / sending a tech from Longbridge to flash the DAB module that was being a parasitic drain on the 12v - I know have Tunes & a fully working car - taken 4 years for the bug to be fixed mind you … 🤔👍🏼

Update on Saturday Iow … Wind and manic decents 4 of my fellow riders left the island somewhat battered cut and bruised - one even suffered a broken collarbone So I made the maybe sensible choice of reverting to the medium route - only 72 km - still had bonkers head winds to deal with 1/2

Yeap … this old issue again !!!! Car not used for 1 day … 1 day Locked out of a totally Dead EV … NOCO jump once I gained access … less than a second of noco juice and the car was alive again ….. seriously thinking MG … s/w glitch as 12v was : is … fine !!!

Anyone been to Flers in Brittany…. Looking into a mini cycle tour heading from Saint Marlo & pondering on an overnight stop at Flers .. In addition what are the cycle paths from Saint Marlo like - ok for road bikes with say 5000’s on (summer tyres) or do I need to consider tougher tyres ?? 1/2

King Alfred’s way And not on a gravel bike I’ve never been a fan of suspension forks - having had a 650b and a 29err - moved to a fat bike !! So I’m already 90% sat on the Silk Road (carbon forked bike on the right) But has anyone actually ridden King Arthur’s Way to say no go suspension!! ?????

How do long distance cyclists fuel themselves I very rarely see back up trucks loaded with carbs and electrolytes sachets for the riders to have added to their drinks - so what do they do to sustain these 600km adventures For ref I had 8 sachets of powder in my saddle bag re Normandy 1-2

What a weekend all on the x1 gravel Tempest (with road tyres) fully loaded 450km covered (with tracks included!) Door to door - was a tad pooped at the end but feel alive 🚴 Riding across the top of the Normandy beaches in a thunderstorm was not on the game plan but made for 💯 % character building!

Question What would fellow cyclists take with them for a 4 day mini tour ?? With the need for ‘non cycling clothes’ for a meal on a Saturday night My Carridice super c saddle bag simply isn’t big enough - So using the Nelson longflap in closed position

Shakedown ride this weekend prior to tour with the larger Nelson saddle bag fitted
Hoping to fit all the gear I need in the Saddle bag / with electrics in the top tube bag and arm / leg warmers in the canister bag … for access … I also have a bar pod bag that will have my rolled up water proof jacket which also acts as a windproof jacket for late evening riding
