The first phase of construction in the Baycrest Park Improvements project is complete, with stairs and a ramp providing access to Yorkdale station from Baycrest Park. The second phase of construction is set to be completed in early 2027. Visit toronto.ca/baycrestpark for details.

The multi-use path in Garrison Common from The Bentway to Strachan Avenue Burial Grounds will be closed on September 5 and 6, from 2:30 to 10:30 p.m. (except for those using mobility aids). The stairs to Strachan Ave will remain open. Signage with route options will be posted.

Cycle tracks have been reinstated on Ordnance Street from Strachan Avenue to a point 100 m east. This Council-approved bikeway provides connections between City Place (via Fort York Boulevard), Garrison Common trails, Wellington Street West cycle tracks and Liberty Village.

Road safety upgrades are proposed in the Elmhurst Drive and Islington Avenue area that are aligned with road resurfacing in 2027-2028. Changes include a multi-use trail, intersection improvements and painted bike lanes on several streets. No vehicle lanes will be removed. (1/2)
