Nice 12 mile ride yesterday along the Flitch Way from Bishop’s Stortford via Birchanger to Gt Dunmow. I passed 11 cyclists cycling the other way. Good to see people using it.

I’ve spent the day being impressed by how skilled and inventive Utrecht folk are with carrying friends and family members on their bikes - on the back (seated, standing, facing and side-saddle), in the basket, on the crossbar, and even a piggyback on the bike.

Thanks to HCC, we have some fab electric delivery bikes as a centrepiece but it will be great to have a lot of others with us too. Another nice ride out to the Mixing shed Cafe near Arkesden. Great coffee, cakes and food. Fabulous views too. It looks empty because most people were sitting inside. Lots of cyclists there, some arriving on road and some off road.
