OH. right! i get it now!

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

Why the hels did I buy an extra license of @remedygames.com's Control on @gog.com even if I had it on @steampowered.com, you ask? 1. It was on hella rebate 2. I have an expense account at work to drain 3. The expense account resets in 5 days so I can ALSO grab Control Resonant later next week lol

I am slightly offended by the fact that it hasn't been a month, hell, half a month, since I got my @fairphone.com 6+. And there's a promotion for free earphones on orders already.

DigitalOcean joins as a Founding Corporate Patron with $3 million
DigitalOcean is joining the Omacom Foundation as a Founding Corporate Patron, contributing $1 million a year for three years! That's a $3 million commitment to the development, maintenance, and spread of Omarchy. What an incredible vote of confidence in the beautiful, fun & agentic OS we're building.

The 3D anime look is created by breaking a model's normals. Normals tell the lighting what direction each polygon is facing. The flat look is achieved by forcing ALL the normals into a single direction. DLSS5 doesn't understand this and RESET the normals BACK, creating the look of soft shading.

nitter.net is down. xcancel.com may go soon, too. all the respect to the folks at nitter for their services so far, but to be honest, X completely locking itself out of the web is probably a net positive for us all in the long term

Cease and desist
On 24 August 2026 cease and desist letters have been sent by X Corp. demanding a permanent takedown of Nitter instances and the project's repository.

nitter.net is offline and development has stopped for the time being. I'm seeking legal advice and won't be commenting further on the specifics for now.

Thank you to everyone who used, hosted, packaged, donated and contributed to Nitter over the past seven years.

Revolut recently banned using GrapheneOS without any justification. They're falsely claiming to do be doing it for security reasons. In reality, they're enforcing licensing Google Play. Revolut doesn't enforce security standards. It runs on Android 9 with no patches since 2018.
