I've been banging my head for the last 24 hours trying to figure out how to manage standard HTTP requests and websockets with one server; but splitting functionality between "routes" and "fetch" seems like more trouble than it's worth. But routes can't upgrade requests to the ws protocol? wat?

Can someone with more experience in Bun.js explain to me why routes can use BunRequest, which makes cookie handling easy, but for some reason fetch has no implementation to make the cookies easier? Am I supposed to build two servers: one for HTTP and the other for Websockets? What am I missing?

I was very impressed with how generous Cloudflare's free tier is for hosting static sites and workflows. Although the reality is I should probably be suspicious about how long they intend to keep it this way Ridesharing was pretty sweet in the beginning, but look at it now...

It's a shame I won't be attending SaltCon next year unless they have a sudden (and unlikely) reversal on their us of AI in their promo material and - ideally - outright banning it from vendor halls as well. Cons, schools, and other community builders need to adopt a strict policy on this stuff soon
