Eagles primetime games remind me just how close we are to the abyss into unreality. The demons in my mind around 11:30, the team is being embarrassed, and I'm telling myself all the things I could be doing instead.

I'm going to play the shit out of Wolverine, no review can tell me otherwise.

Just started the audiobook of Once and Future Witches by @alixeharrow.bsky.social . I had to stop because that opening hit like a truck. Such power!

Dave Bautista has the facial expressions to play a stoic Kratos. He's not a huge talker unless raging. I'm here for it!

Here's my review of Brand New Day without any spoilers and without creating any expectations .... I have seen it.

I had a quick thought to keep a daily tally of one of two phrases: Man, I am a terrible writer or Man, I am a good writer. But after a few days it would get too dark too quickly.

The o-line loves Mannion's offense so much it's convincing me Stout should've been gone five years ago!

I'm shallow enough to say LeBron is my GOAT if he wins a title with the Sixers. I have no shame!!

Obsession may be the scariest movie I've ever seen. It was incredible.

It goes to show how disconnected I am from the NFL these days, but I was pleasantly surprised to see Jalen Carter ranked as the third-best DT in the league.

I've only read the first issue of Absolute Batman, but it's strange to see how our times, the time I live, is now being reflected in comic books. Granted, I'm more aware of my times in my mid-30s than previously.

Laufey looks great! But if Kratos can't jump in the next God of War....

Submitted an excerpt to @unchartedmag.bsky.social. It's a strange wrestling match in my soul during these contests. One side (I know I won't win) wrestles the second (a group of two who think otherwise). One is the reverse jinx. One is actual belief.

Take it from me, a nobody, but man Harlem Shuffle was incredible. The way @colsonwhitehead.com dangles dialogue is masterclass.

Watched All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) recently. Thought it was much better than 1917 but still a tad disappointing. It tried to weave two pieces -- World War I and Armistice Day -- that should really have their own movies.

Any platform I go to regarding the books I read are inevitably filled with comments about not connecting with characters and not seeing any growth and not understanding why they aren't all stand up people.

The Starfield life cycle: This game is boring -> hmm my first ship battle -> hmm I'm joining factions -> hmm perhaps I misjudged this game -> hmm all the planets are the same -> hmm these storylines are so bland -> hmm this game is boring

There's a certain mixture of freedom and terror when you realize an entire chapter needs to be started from scratch.

I've been out the social media game (this time around) long enough I no longer think in 300-character quips. More's the pity.

I greatly enjoy deleting my social media profiles shortly after making them. It makes a tedious amount of work for after, but my declaration to you: I will never hibernate an account!!
