Yes, she knew it was a helix and even concluded there were 10 bp/turn, with bases separated by 34 Å. For an explanation of how you can deduce all that (and more) from these patterns, see youtu.be/2tMuMRY1oDo?...

A big week for the lab! Two new papers on how cells repair DNA double-strand breaks: one on getting NHEJ started in chromatin, one on processing the ends before ligation. Years of work by a fantastic team.

Cynthia Wolberger @cwolberger.bsky.social · 22/05/2026
No. Before I even start the project, I need to get permission. Only then am I allowed to use the information on mutations they will provide to generate mutated protein and eventually co-publish the results. If I don't get advance permission, I won't be allowed to list the paper in RPPR.

For an existing R35 from GM. If you included it in your grant, you'll presumably be OK. I had one foreign collaborator listed in my application and confirmed I don't need to do anything else.

I was told that I needed to request permission to collaborate with physicians from European countries before testing the effects of patient mutations they identified on an enzyme we study. For each collaborator, NIH is asking for email, institution, street address, phone number (!!). Insane.

Hegseth saying “The Pharisee Press” should be a fully mask off moment. He is saying “The Jewish Press”. But Christians of all political stripes are so devoted to using Pharisees as a rhetorical prop that liberal Christians regularly insist it’s totally fine, no matter how many Jews try to explain.

Mark, read the article and other accounts online. Jews visited the temple mount - not Al-Aqsa - under police escort. There is no information that could possibly identify them as settlers (or anything else). It stretches credulity that the police would allow a group that size- too large to control.
