CW @cwassermann.bsky.social · 03/10/2026This was fascinating. It does beg the question about whether the development happening is addressing the housing shortage that is so acute in London and whether anything could be done differently. 010

CW @cwassermann.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Thanks for clarifying. I agree priority would be a brilliant thing to try and achieve. My sense is one issue is that roads aren't controlled by TFL so they rely on boroughs? I live in Tower Hamlets and there seems to be no desire to, eg, put in bus lanes if it involves removing parking. 000
CW @cwassermann.bsky.social · 23/09/2026And my experience taking buses very regularly is that the main issue is them being overcrowded not too empty. 110
CW @cwassermann.bsky.social · 23/09/20265 million passenger journeys daily vs 4 million on the tube. I'm interested why you are against buses. 210
CW @cwassermann.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Otoh, buses are still the most-used form of public transport and are particularly useful/vital for people on lower incomes. 110
CW @cwassermann.bsky.social · 23/09/2026While bus speed is an issue and reliability more generally, the other issue in London is many routes have been cut back in the past few years so you wait longer for a bus to arrive. Also, the way transport works in London with many roads operated by boroughs definitely causes issues. 000
CW @cwassermann.bsky.social · 23/09/2026How does that work for people with limited mobility when much of the tube is inaccessible? Buses are really useful albeit slow. 100

CW @cwassermann.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I can understand why. As much as anything the camera angles/coverage doesn't really help. 000
CW @cwassermann.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I think even on catch up it's hard to avoid the presentation style which is awful. The 400m was the highlight race and the 1500m was OK. The rest didn't have such competitive fields. I missed the hurdles. 100
CW @cwassermann.bsky.social · 18/09/2026It's a shame because the presentation takes all the drama away from the sport. And some of the races were really close and pretty good for end of season. 110
