Everyone talks about calories and workouts instead of #water When you drink enough water, your metabolism works faster and your body burns more fat during exercise. Your muscles are 75% water — they can't repair or grow without it. #health #diet #FoodLovers #Fitness #Wellness

While many celebrate Pride, in June Catholics dedicate the month to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In a wold of noise and division, we turn to God’s infinite ocean of mercy. Let us mirror His love for us in our own lives. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. We place all our trust in thee.

Everyone talks about diet and cardio. Nobody talks about #sleep Here's why lack of sleep is probably sabotaging your #fitness When you sleep, your body releases growth hormone and repairs muscle tissue. Skip sleep, and you're literally undoing your workouts. #health

I know AI just scrapes every website for its slop, so I really hesitate to post my art online. But, here’s a stormy sea I painted awhile back that’s been online for a few years. Anyway, if someone wants to collab with paintings or illustrations for your writing hit me up. #acrylic #art #noai

We need to build a wall across the American Southwest. A giant, massive wall of solar panels powering an electric train system of public transit.

I think he had a good point of wanting artists to lead the technology and not the other way around, but I totally see why people were upset. Also, people are buying the AI stuff! It doesn’t make sense to me, but it’s full steam ahead apparently. Don’t know the solution

What I’m really trying to say is not that we need to accept AI as good. More that we should recognize for whatever godawful reason a whole lot of people are using it, consuming things made w/ it, etc despite the environmental catastrophe - like, I don’t know the solution at all. But its happening

Most every established professional creative was publicly against it at first, so idk if it’s fair to call him a pioneer that led a fight. I feel you on there being a lot of bad to it. But, we also have to accept the reality that end consumers of creative work don’t care & it isn’t going away.

All the guy did was accept the reality of the world we live in and take a genuine opportunity to show that an accomplished creative can be open to new methods and workflows.

#AI hate is so completely justified on many levels and it’s very real. But, consumers are buying products with AI generated images, books written by it that have covers designed by it, companies are using to to replace creatives, etc. All this is very real too. We have to accept reality.

Paramount plus alone has nearly 80 million subscribers and generates over $7 Billion in revenue. These morally superior internet takes aren’t going to make them feel anything. Lots of people don’t watch legacy media anymore, but they aren’t gonna cancel where it matters.

I agree with you! But, people with skills are using it. I’ve still lost work to it and watched an acceptance of it grow all around me for the past 3 years. Even though it fails 96% of the time, I’ve convinced no one to stop using it. So, there’s got to be a better strategy than just “AI bad”

Hating AI is great! But, what are we to do about the fact that consumers are actually kind of okay with it? 3 years in and it feels like we lost the fight 12 years ago.

CulinaryCode @culinarycode.bsky.social · 22/05/2026
We do need to accept the reality that AI slop doesn’t have to be good - it just has to be good enough, which it already is for the most part. It’s been replacing jobs and people are actually buying products made with it. What do we do? I guess just keep creating for the love of it.
