Got another pre AI Nippon Kogaku lens. This time taking the scalloped focus ring to the extreme with the 300mm f/4.5 Nikkor-P Auto. This one seems to have had an easy life with immaculate optics, not that they were ever particularly well regarded. #vintagenikon #nikon

Reflected in the window are the square windows of the building opposite, a bicycle parked and someone walking down the street. A colour photograph looking up at the side of a narrow tower block being directly lit by bright sunlight with blue sky and white clouds in the background. A colour photograph of some grey steps (which take up the bottom half of the image) stretching off from the bottom left corner of the frame into the middle right of the image. This is what happens when justice serves power instead of people. Banksy’s latest piece shows a judge beating a protester. They rushed to throw up barriers to hide it. We need this here because it looks a lot like our own Supreme Court vs. the people.

A late #caturday post. Can't believe our boys turned one this week! 🤯 Here's some before and afters. The kitten photos are some of the earliest pics I took of them. Taken on my phone just after we picked them up, as they explored their new home. Adult photos taken in July with my D810. #cats #kitten
Two photos of our black cat Bear. In the top image he is a very little kitten and he is sat up looking out of one of our windows for the first time, seeing his new surroundings right after we got him and his brother. In the bottom photo he is much bigger (more or less adult cat size but they are still growing) and he has grown up to be a very handsome lad. He's looking out of another of our windows from the top of a green cat tree. The sun light in the bottom image helps to show the brown colours in his fur. There is a small text caption on the top photo which reads "lil' Bear" and the bottom image has a caption which reads "big Bear". Lower image taken with my Nikon D810 and 85mm Nikkor lens. Top image taken with my Pixel 7 phone. Two photos of our black cat Brodie. In the top image he is a very tiny kitten stood in front of one of our radiators. His head doesn't come very far beyond the bottom of it as he was VERY small at the time. He is looking up to the left out of frame and there is some brown wood skirting board in the background. The caption on the top image reads "lil' Brodie". Below is an image of how he looks now he is more or less adult cat size (we think anyway but he is both still growing) He is sat up in front of a similar dark wood skirting board looking out left of frame again but as a very handsome grown up cat. His white chest fur is proudly on display. The bottom image has a caption which reads "big Brodie" he, like his brother, has grown up to be a very handsome boy. Lower image taken with my Nikon D810 and 85mm Nikkor lens. Top image taken with my Pixel 7 phone.

Wasn't looking for an XA but saw this with a £10 price sticker on it today & could not pass it up. Thought at that price it must be an ornament but got it home to some fresh batts & everything seems to work. Need to replace the light seals but otherwise it seems good. 😬 #OlympusXA

Another #caturday post & it's Bear looking particularly expressive. Don't you dare ask him to get down from the kitchen worktops. Who the hell do you think you are?! 🤨😂 📷 Nikon D810 + Nikkor 85mm AF-D F/1.8 I got this lens with portraits of our cats in mind & I have zero regrets. #photography
A colour photo of our black cat, Bear sitting up on our kitchen worktops. The sunlight coming in through the windows brings out the brown in his fur. The image has a shallow depth of field and the background/surrounding kitchen work surface is soft and out of focus while Bear's expressive face is sharp. With the way the sunlight is lighting the scene it looks as if Bear has one eyebrow raised.

Don't need ANOTHER camera but I seem to be circling around either getting a half frame (one of the Olympus Pen EEs) or a Russian Leica copy rangefinder (the Zorki 4K the favourite of those so far) Both have potential to be cheap daily carries & currently I own neither a rangefinder or a half frame.

Dunaskin, Ayrshire 05.2025 🎞️ Kodak Gold 📷 Nikon FE + Nikkor AF 24mm f/2.8 D Recently began looking into the history of this place. Only managed a couple of shots as I was at the end of the roll. Desperate to go back and explore some more compositions. #photography #believeinfilm #35mm
A 35mm colour photograph of the abandoned/derelict former Brickworks/Ironworks known as Dunaskin in Ayrshire Scotland. This photograph was taken lying on the ground to get a low wide angle shot that could fit the two chimney stacks along with some of the surrounding buildings into the frame. In the foreground there is a small brick building with a red set of stairs leading to a red entrance that sits proud of the brick building. Behind this there are some shuttered brick buildings and then the two large chimney stacks. The weather was beautiful with clear blue skies and only the slightest suggestion of little white clouds. The sun beats down on the scene.
