can't take "LLMs are people" discourse seriously when we haven't even convinced everyone that all people are people.

"[Audra] McDonald provides her staggering vocals to 'I Wonder As I Wander,' and the legendary Kelli O’Hara...[joins] fellow Tony-winners McDonald and Murphy for 'I Remember.'” Kelli O'Hara, Audra McDonald, and Donna Murphy performing "I Remember"?!?!?!? OMG OMG OMG

A screenshot of the IndieWire article found at https://www.indiewire.com/news/breaking-news/gilded-age-christmas-album-cast-musical-episode-hbo-1235218372/

The screenshot includes a portion of an album cover for The Gilded Age: The Christmas Album.

The key text is:

Baranski gets the solo show a Sondheim veteran deserves in “We Need a Little Christmas,” McDonald provides her staggering vocals to “I Wonder As I Wander,” and the legendary Kelli O’Hara (a nine-time Tony nominee and bonafide opera star) contributes her rendition of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” before joining fellow Tony-winners McDonald and Murphy for “I Remember.”

Soundtrack inconsistencies in period films, especially if I lived through those periods. Dating Amber has Pulp's "Mile End" play and then a title says "1995." However, "Mile End" first appeared on the Trainspotting sdtk (rel: Feb 96) and was later a b-side to "Something Changed" (rel: Mar 96).

A still from the 2020 movie Dating Amber of Eddie (Fionn O'Shea) with the closed caption subtitle indicating "Pulp - "Mile End" is playing on the soundtrack.

A still from the 2020 movie Dating Amber of Amber (Lola Petticre) walking down a country road. The year 1995 is displayed toward the bottom of the screen. The subtitles are of Amber's dialogue at the particular moment: "Fucking idiots."

Dallas skyline inaccuracy in The Iron Claw. That match took place on 17 June 1983, but the background is of a 1985-86 skyline with a completed Dallas Main Center with its original green argon lights. The building's construction progress was captured in the intro to Dallas in the Sept 1984 premiere.

A still from the movie The Iron Claw of a 1985-86 city of Dallas nighttime skyline with text overlayed. The text reads:

World Class
Championship Wrestling

Harley Race
(champion)
vs
Kevin Von Erich

Tonight's Card

A still from the television series Dallas [1978-1991] from the opening credits showing the Dallas skyline as it stood in summer 1984. Dallas Main Center is the tallest building and is only partially complete.

Looks like Hooky just said something offensive, Gillian isn't having it, and Stephen is like, "Oh, you shouldn'ta said that." 😂

If you are a business and I buy something from you, I do *not* need to hear from you every day. I only need to hear from you about my order, specifically. Occasionally, you may send me related info or a coupon - this should be no more than twice a month.

I just don't find it very interesting. I thought defying her family legacy and working with disparate groups to forge a better future would've subverted expectations more. The end felt like "women are too emotional/can't handle power" b.s. She's so emotional she kinda forgot about the Iron Fleet! 🙃

IDK having the female freer of slaves turn out to be a murderous maniac because of destiny/prophecy or whatever kinda pissed me off. If that really was the author's intent and the TV team fumbled the execution, it's still a terrible look.

I hate gay Halloween, what do you mean you're Cristal Connors' MS Paint bra from the VH1 edit of Showgirls?

A still from the television edit of the 1995 camp classic Showgirls of Nomi Malone (Elizabeth Berkeley) about to push Cristal Connors (Gina Gershon) down the stairs. Both of their chests are censored with comically inept "bras" that look as if they were created using the Microsoft Paint program.

1979 Sleeping Beauty reissue when Maleficent turned into a dragon. Absolutely terrified little me and gave me nightmares for weeks.

It was my first on-my-own television series made for adults and it was a life-changing, mind-expanding experience. Saw it when it was originally broadcast on ABC and revisited several times over the years, before The Return and after. Just an incredible series.

Good on you tho! I'm sure he appreciated it. G.I. Joe, Transformers, M.A.S.K., and Robotech were okay in their book, so I did have those. But such odd, arbitrary rules.

I didn't get to see E.T. originally because it "mocked Christ's resurrection." Somehow got to see the Star Wars Trilogy and Superman. Had to give away my He-Man toys because they were "demonic." MTV on summer/winter break when I stayed home alone in junior high and high school led to Columbia House.

Siouxsie realized if she lies on the top tier of the cat tree, we can see eye-to-eye. We do this at least once a day now. ❤️ #Caturday

It was one of the only ways I could get secular music in a highly religious household. 🙃 Did I have to hide those CDs and intercept them at the mailbox like I did the random International Male and Undergear catalogs? Absolutely.

6 of those were in my 10 CDs I got from Columbia House! 😂 With only 9, I had to cut George Michael's Listen Without Prejudice, Saint Etienne's So Tough, Cocteau Twins' Heaven Or Las Vegas, Def Leppard's Hysteria, and Sinéad O'Connor's I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got. All key to my music taste.

Having a still from an 80s broadcast TV show labeled by Bluesky moderation as "Graphic Media" is peak "LOL what are we doing here folks?" Standards and practices in the 70s and 80s were FAR more stringent than today.

Avengers: Doomsday reportedly has at least 6 major deaths. It's described as one of the darkest movies ever made.

But obvs some valid points about how this project is trying to cash in on Heated Rivalry minus its key ingredient (🏳️‍🌈). Unsurprisingly, the entertainment industry learned the wrong lessons from a success. Where is my Heated Rivalry with linebackers? Wrestlers? Strongmen contestants?

That is Mia McKenna-Bruce in that still. Anyone who's seen How To Have Sex would know that and would know that is from a devastating scene. All the comments about her appearance...if you knew the context of that scene you'd probably sit down and be quiet.
