We have to use Python for at least two modules this semester. One of the AI modules, and music programming (CS322). CS322 relies on a minor revision ago. There are breaking changes between minor revisions of Python. This is reason number 3 that I loathe Python. Minor changes should not be breaking.

Why do cop shows insist on promulgating the "you have to wait 24 hours before calling in someone as missing". It's really insidious. The longer you wait before finding someone the less likely it is you find them. The first 24 hours are crucial. It's a really dangerous urban myth.

Three of four years of mature student college done and I have just had to do my first "I am concerned" lie down emphysema test. The "do I need to go to hospital" test. I passed. And I think I don't need A&E, I'll be off to the GP tomorrow to talk to him about it. I am sore but okay.

I would add Queer rights (including, and because they are especially under threat, especially Trans rights) matter. There's no need for Straight Pride because Straight Rights are guaranteed. The most economical (and morally correct) solution to homelessness is to house the homeless.

Do not buy nanoleaf smart home devices. Their software freezes on failed device add (I still haven't managed to add it). Their software is requried to firmware patch. It's an approach *so* user hostile, I suspect they may actually be looking to set up botnets with IoT devices.

I'm watching Elementary and they did an episode about the P-NP problem and how if it is solved it renders all current cryptography worthless (it does), they misunderstood something fundamental. P-NP proof would render the concept of encryption worthless.

My IBM internship is over. I have turned off my 7am Monday, Wednesday and Friday alarm and my 8am Tuesday and Thursday one. It was, all in all, a positive experience. I am now off for sevenish weeks and then back to uni for fourth year.
