I’m pretty sure I’m near the end of Crow Country but I don’t want it to end. Heavy regrets not recording this one, it is absolute Noob candy, but alas.

❕📸 New Blog Post 📸❕ The gallery for the penultimate colossus is now up on the blog! In a slightly different scale and very different arena to the previous one, this guy presented a fresh set of challenges. But the David vs Goliath vibes were as strong as ever. ctrlaltnoob.com/2026/09/28/a...

I loooove LudoNarraCon. It is my favourite event of the year! I won’t have time to cover it this year but you are guaranteed to find some gems in there 🤍

CtrlAltNoob @ctrlaltnoob.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

After like a 2 year mental block I have finally picked back up my Shadow of the Colossus photography run. Yay! Clearly nailing it 📸

Constantly fighting the urge to start a new save file on The Binding of Isaac, record everything and upload all of my no commentary successful runs. Literally no one wants that, but I’m never going to play Repentance if I don’t make it into a project 🥲

❕New Blog Post❕ There Are No Ghosts at the Grand 🏚️ An absolute amalgamation that is hard to describe but made me laugh numerous times. I always admire a game that is unapologetically itself, and that is undeniable about this demo. ctrlaltnoob.com/2026/09/03/t...

❕ New Blog Post ❕ Am I Nima 🧠 Thoroughly enjoyed the demo, manically sorting through and expanding on our characters thoughts in the moments between uneasy conversations with our Mom(?*). *we are also tied to a chair so… idk ctrlaltnoob.com/2026/08/28/a...

Chants of Sennaar is finished! It was such a pleasure getting back to doing what I love. I have nothing else properly in the works yet. In the time since recording life got flipped upside down yet again. Once things level out I have more games I would like to share.

CtrlAltNoob @ctrlaltnoob.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

When you are playing DnD and roll a natural 20 for initiative (I don’t like being first), then 1 after 1 after 1 during the combat, then you do a religion check with advantage after the fight and get double natural 20s…

CtrlAltNoob @ctrlaltnoob.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

My girl Bonny died today 😢 She was sassy, knew what she wanted, and she wasn’t the brightest but she was such a spark. She’s been with me through buying my own house, then moving away from our hometown, and made sure I was ok. We were a we, and now it’s just me, and I’m absolutely heartbroken 💔

I don’t know about you all but starting a new XCOM 2 campaign is always at least a little bit on my mind at all times.

Beacon Pines is free on Epic and it is so good!

020

CtrlAltNoob @ctrlaltnoob.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

Had a cinema trip today and I am so relieved that I’ve now had two movies in a row give me that feeling of awe in a way that I thought I had grown out of. The Odyssey was appropriately epic, surprisingly resonant, and I definitely recommend going to see it in cinema.

I finished Chants of Sennaar 🥹 I didn’t expect to get a slap in the face of emotions as the credits started but it was one of those games that just absorbed me. Beautiful experience.

What I am absolutely loving about recording the way that I am right now is taking my time editing. Enjoying watching back the moments. Also, I forgot after months of trying to play games alone how utterly immersive it is playing for a purpose like recording. You focus and notice so much more.

CtrlAltNoob @ctrlaltnoob.bsky.social · 13/07/2026

Oh wow, I called it 😄😍📚

CtrlAltNoob @ctrlaltnoob.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

Parts 5 & 6 of Chants of Sennaar are all done! Couldn’t be enjoying it more honestly. If I can find time over the weekend, I might even be able to start releasing the series as soon as next weekend 🥳

In tonight's Valheim update, we caught some pigs, and we lost some pigs... What can I say, they knew what they wanted, can't fault them for that 😂

010

CtrlAltNoob @ctrlaltnoob.bsky.social · 02/07/2026

Chants of Sennaar is so so wonderful. The literal only bad thing is that I don’t have time to record more often 😭 how can I possibly wait a week to jump back in.

I grew up in an old mining town and I’ve never been in a mine. But every video game always somehow ends up in a mine. I just don’t know why.. like I can’t really think of a less interesting environment (unless you are mining, then jackpot I guess)

CtrlAltNoob @ctrlaltnoob.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

Brains are crazy. After picking my blog back up nearly 1 month ago after nothing for the longest time, I look at what I’ve posted and all I get from myself is a disappointed, “I can’t believe I’ve only done 8 demo impressions.” (There are still 44 demo shortcuts on my desktop).
