EVENT HORIZON is a baffling 36% on Rotten Tomatoes: fine, it's not a 'perfect' movie, but it does its job and is way better than that score would indicate.

One of my favorite lunch breaks ever, was at a Wal-Mart where they were training service dogs. I give them room, let them do their thing; but as I passed one dog locked eyes with me and all but mouthed "HELP ME." That pup did not want to serve jack; although I still wonder if he made the cut.

From BATMAN #400, written by Doug Moench, art (for this sequence, it was a jam book!) by Bill Sienkiewicz.

In the Batcave, R'as al Ghul explains his plan, which would basically be used again for KNIGHTFALL! All of Batman's villains have been broken out of Arkham and the state pen (I don't think it was Blackgate yet) and will spam Batman to death.

R'AS: I am the only man in the world, detective, who knows what your enemies plan to do. Indeed, they are enacting a plan I gave them.
BATMAN: G--

R'AS: And should you fail to stop them, I am the only man in the world...who can avenge your death.

A young woman thinks it's her boyfriend the Wrath in the shadows, since he had the same silhouette, but it's Batman!

From the same book: on a rooftop, Batman confronts the Wrath.

BATMAN: Half the force is down there! You can't get away!

WRATH: Don't count on it, Batman! YOU could--so I can!

BATMAN: (thinking) Pulling something from beneath his cape! But whatever it is...

Spoiler alert: immediately after this brag, the Wrath is killed; it's unclear what kind of move he was trying to pull...

The Road Runner speaks--in rhyme? And the Coyote doesn't have any Acme products here, unless he got the shovel from them: he digs a pit, but then falls into it himself, when the Road Runner makes a detour for those delicious, delicious fruit pies. Who could blame him? Daffy gives the Coyote some fruit pies in the end, telling him to count his blessings.

"And the Children Shall Lead" is on. Absolute worst episode. Hate it. But just realized two things: 1. Bones doesn't see the Gorgon. He would've tried to kick its ass for hurting the kids. 2. Bones also doesn't see the kids at their evil brattiest. He would've spanked them, dead parents or no.
