I feel like I should enjoy Hickman's stuff more than I do? Like, it's interesting but dry? Or, I might be biased because I hate hate hate the little diagram-y pages.

I think Jonathan Hickman designs these, diagram pages, from an issue of AVENGERS. If you follow the little symbols, you can see who is out on mission with who.

I hate these so much. They fill me with just irrational hate.

Hey, the Sentry killing Ares saved me about $45 in figures I didn't want to buy for parts! (From 2010! I think I cleaned off and sold those Ares parts later, he would get another figure eventually, and probably get killed some more.)

Old Marvel Legends figures: Toy Biz era Bullseye, the Sentry, and some Ares parts. The Sentry has just torn apart Ares, into a mess...of spaghetti.

SENTRY: Say what you will about Ares...
BULLSEYE: Oh, please don't say it...
SENTRY: ...but he had guts.
CAPTION: Yeah, I know Bullseye was in his Hawkeye outfit in SIEGE #2. I just don't care.

Neat! I'm not sure on the medical protocol for treating somebody unconscious, glowing and obviously radioactive as hell... I think this was a continuity patch itself; like some stuff from the black-and-white magazines was being written off as Bereet's fanfic or student film.

I have this insane notion, for every fighting video game series, if a character was in it once, they oughta be in it for ever! A modern Tekken or Street Fighter character selection screen should have like 90 options; half your matches you should have no goddamn idea who you're fighting.

I wish I could find this old digest, where some horrible Riverdale winter, ten below outside, Reggie comes strolling up in a light sweater, completely unbothered: "Mind over matter. I have the superior mind, therefore it doesn't matter." Archie tries it, and damn near freezes to death.

Hey, if you see have it handy, I think in that same guide there's a chart of all the little steps you have to do to really, truly, finally kill a vampire. Stake, decapitation, stuff the skull with garlic, etc. I think of it every time I see a picture of Stephen Miller.
