I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

When asked why I wasn't more excited for the new Kingdom Hearts i explained that the series started out, at it's core, as an interactive Disney Ad campaign. Tetsuya just made it interesting with his story & Final Fantasy character substitutions But KH3 was a full blown Disney billboard

As someone with a literal book about this game's Making Of: It was basically a marketing strat. They wanted kids to be into Disney with the Hip & Cool games that are trending Tetsuya used Final Fantasy characters (that he designed) in story beats because he knew their personalities most intimately
