iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

i get a little envious when i see people posting selfies because the only thing i can think of is the time i posted a selfie in a private channel (a safe space) and some freak said "i want to pull your hair and make you moan" its been 8 years and i am never posting a selfie again

You should know that the infamous I Love You virus uses the same trick - Always make sure to turn on 'show file extensions' in your windows/browser settings.

Tumblr user thereisselfpreservation

"I'm seeing warnings about scammers trying to commission artists but the "reference sheet" for their character they want commissioned isn't an image but a .vbs file ("visual basic script"), and will run a script when you open it, probably to yoink your account(s), but I haven't seen this from anyone who's actually clicked it yet. Just be careful and never open a file like that, 'cause people suck."

Reply from the same user:

"For reference (heh)"

Screenshots of messages.

Sender: "Okay, I've sent it now."

There's a file attachment called "Shork_YCH_MyReference_v1.vbs". The vbs extension is circled.

Sender: "If everything is in order, I can send the overpayment."

Sender, in reply to the file attachment (again with the vbs extension circled): "How much would the full piece cost?"

thereisselfpreservation:

"At a glance, the file name checks out. But!! do not open a .vbs file!!!

A silly bird brain 🐓🐔 [ #kasaneteto #teto ]

Teto in her outfit from Birdbrain. Shes striking a dance pose with a wink. Looking up from the bottom is another Teto like from the music video. Behind them is 2 chickens, a goose and feathers. On the left side is "Birdbrain" in text. Behind everything is a orange and yellow background.

I got banned from twitter in 2023 for this drawing. They called it "violent speech". It had over 40K likes and too many comments for me to read before my ban, but I still see it floating around here and there. Save a copy, and use it freely. No attribution needed. DON'T LET THE BASTARDS GET YOU DOWN 🏳️‍⚧️ #art #tdov #transart

a digital illustration in the style of a relief print depicting a black cat in a defensive pose holding a torn and tattered transgender pride flag in its mouth as it looks directly towards the viewer. the background is purple with some specks of blue and pink showing through, and behind the cat is a black midground resembling grass or flames. the top right corner features a box with a caption reading "T.D.O.V."

Happy Trans Day of Visibility! 🏳️‍⚧️🌸 [ #tdov #cuteart #trans ]

An illustration of my OC, Egg the Trans Raccoon (a blue, pink & white raccoon with a trans-flag-striped tail) laying down and looking at a small flower. They’re also wearing a flower crown in the colors of a trans flag. The illustration is soft and it says “grow into your best self” over Egg.

learning piano is so so hard. i can play the C major scale properly with either hand, but i have to stumble my way through playing i with both at the same time. yet somehow i can play hanon exercises with both hands without issue. i cannot play an actual song with both hands, even slowly (25% speed)

if i wanted to bake the chicken i would have done that an hour ago instead of cleaning the stove because of COURSE someone else spilled some sort of fruit juice that is now dried onto the burner, and fuck it its just burnt on there now, it was never my damn problem to begin with

cece @cthomlan.bsky.social · 06/02/2026

this entire meal has been botched from the moment that someone else put the chicken in the cart for me to cook. i did not plan for chicken (neither did they). we have no ingredients for a dish, nevermind a meal. so now im here trying to make something from whatever scraps we DO have

cece @cthomlan.bsky.social · 06/02/2026

i didnt want it to be so loud, but bluesky did something to the audio/video to make it so much louder than it should ever have been. in my local copy its -18db but the one i downloaded from bsky is -1db. i dont know why bsky does this or what exactly it is they do so that i can adjust for the future

000

cece @cthomlan.bsky.social · 22/01/2026

okay, so at ~0:13 i play a louder note and here's a weird thing: in my original recording it's -21db, so i boosted it by +15db (to be -6db) i screen recorded VLC's visualizer, but volume was 65% (so: -18db) after editing/exporting: -18db after uploading to bsky: -1db (what? HOW???)

cece @cthomlan.bsky.social · 22/01/2026

more piano today. accidentally discovered first 3 notes while trying to read the sheet for another song, then worked on this instead for 15 minutes i COULD edit it so that it flows more naturally and even out the audio, but thats not how i played it. i had big pauses while i remembered the notes!

020

cece @cthomlan.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

i dont think you're "supposed to" play all 7 octaves with either hand but i did it anyways. probably only supposed to play 6 octaves, given that the other hand would have no octave to play crossing from 3rd to 4th octave gives me trouble for some reason??

i wonder how quickly covid takes hold? i was just outside 30 mins ago shoveling snow without a mask (its 5am) and may have just been exposed… there's now a tingle in my throat. before, coughing felt like it was a choking reaction to post-nasal drip, but now it does not feel like there is a cause…

*asterisk: i developed a cough a few days ago but i do not have a fever. maybe i am sick but asymptomatic, idk we dont have any test kits. (we were completely unprepared for this!!) but i think, given the way i feel and how infrequent my coughing is to everyone elses'… i dont think its the same sick

100

cece @cthomlan.bsky.social · 06/01/2026

im not even sick, comma, asterisk*. but patient zero is on day 10 of symptoms and sounds like several days to go. p2 is on day 7. and then even when symptoms are gone it doesnt mean they arent still infectious, y'know? so im looking at what, 11 more days of this?

100

cece @cthomlan.bsky.social · 06/01/2026

the respirator i bought—which arrived 2 days before the plague—doesnt even fit well. i have to adjust it several times before it seals, and then i just have to not touch it or move my face. but also it is small and digs into my nose and my nose will start dripping and soaking the filter…

110

cece @cthomlan.bsky.social · 06/01/2026

i bought fresh ingredients so that i could make us a nice hearty stew for christmas or new years. those have probably gone bad now. already had to throw out the sandwich bread and rolls, completely unopened. going to have to do a pass on the fridge too, before trash day…

its day 10 of quarantine. i had plans, 2 weeks ago! i had just gotten a new piano on the 21st, i was going to learn to play again. i was going get the rest of my boxes unpacked and my room organized so that i could stream again—game streams, piano practice streams, art streams…
