Some people are still in denial as to how easy it is to block out huge chunks of pop culture. I don't listen to pop radio, any music algorithm I interact with has given up presenting me modern country, and even if it's in a video or something, if it's not pointed out it just washes past me.

Read this again when someone tells you that the democrats are gearing up to go transphobic or don’t fight for us.

Rep. Grace Meng: I mean, all of the above, right? I'm the top Democrat on the Appropriations
subcommittee that oversees all the DOJ funding. And we have seen this as we've been negotiating our budgets with them. They tried to include over 50 anti-GBTQ riders, what we call poison pills, into the budget. And we, as House Democrats, were able to take them all out. But they wanted to insert 52 pieces of wording and legislation that would have restricted medically necessary health care for transgender people, basically allowing taxpayer-funded discrimination against same-sex couples, blocking any non-discriminatory and DEl-type efforts.
But they are persistent, so they try it through the budget process, and they can't do that. Obviously, they're trying to cheat by coercing these hospitals:

The main issue with this argument is that it starts with a vaguely true but flimsy premise (Fascists harken back to an imaginary "golden age") and rides it straight off a cliff (All nostalgia is inherently fascist). It's yet another example of the death of nuance.
