In May 2009 two comic strips that are published right next to each other in the Boston Globe ran strikingly similar cartoons about pink snails meeting on a path and sharing a one-line gag.

The first comic is Rhymes with Orange by Hilary B. Price. In it, the snail on the right has an uncurled shell and is saying, "I just had the best massage!"
