"Vote like your job depends on it" really speaks to me as one of the 98% of Coloradans who don't work in oil/gas

Shire90 @cshire.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

that Caleb Wilson flop (in the preseason!) now makes me actively want to root against him

Shire90 @cshire.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

Shooting is one of those things that's too high variance in small sample sizes to worry about in the preseason. Just my opinion though.

Even shortening basketball to hoops would be both a length and alliterative improvement

Plus that pedal steel/slide guitar was really popping on this album! "Pacific City" heads stand up!!

Shire90 @cshire.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Easily one of the most underrated albums of the 2020s (Feb. 2021 release timing didn't help on this front)

One of those weirdly life-affirming games? CFB can still be the greatest *Auburn radio voice* THEY'RE NOT GONNA KEEP EM OFF THE KIBBIE DOME FIELD TONIGHT NOT IN MOSCOW IDAHO

Shire90 @cshire.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Literally had to text my CFB chat an entire 5-minute video watchalong with my own commentary on it. I could not believe what I just saw!

Shire90 @cshire.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

This video only scratches the surface of how ridiculous the last 30 seconds of game time (5 minutes in real time) this was. Felt like a fever dream happening the way it just kept ESCALATING

Shire90 @cshire.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

They could never make me hate you Buddy Garrity (incredible character on a show absolutely packed full of them)

Shire90 @cshire.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Trying to figure out what the Pistons are thinking here? You simply can't pay two guys of that caliber *like that* under the current CBA. Especially when they are playoff black holes on offense.

Hadn't thought about this song in probably 15+ years, since I thought it meant everything to me for about 3 months in college (many such cases) So thank you for reminding me how much this song rules

Big end of September time for our household: Our old man/buddy boy turned 15 (!) + it's been 10 years (!) since we moved to Colorado

As @alexkirshner.com often says: Roger Goodell has the easiest job in the world, pt. 792

I don't think the games were that similar though? At least if you're comparing 2026 UF offense today to 2019 LSU vs. UF. 2019 UF-LSU: UF ran 84 plays to LSU's 48 (10.8 yards/play) 2026 UF-OM: UF ran 76 plays (6.6 yards/play) to OM's 61

I'm listening and I'm learning

Zach, why would you do this to me (a hungry person)

100 1

We'll get a first-hand look at it too this winter with Wade/LSU. Not a single homegrown guy on the roster. Bums me out as a longtime LSU hoops guy despite *gestures at the program's past 30 years*

I literally agreed that the rule is bad? And didn't imply otherwise. But it's not a new one and has come up often. A mobile QB should especially know it and take it into account

000 0

That's a good point. Think it just felt loaded given your stance post-last week's game, like you were finding something to blame Kiffin for. Definitely understand the perspective when articulated like that. There are still several "LSU guys" on the roster, but way fewer than years' past for sure.

120 2

This is hardly just a Kiffin issue, it's all over CFB and especially CBB

120 2

Shire90 @cshire.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

It is but it's his job to know that. Not a new rule at all and you're a mobile QB

Went to this game as a high schooler with my uncle, who left his 40-yardline/15-rows up seats after Auburn scored ON THE FIRST DRIVE OF THE GAME while drunkenly muttering "Had about enough of this shit." I still rib him about missing this absolutely insane ending

Shire90 @cshire.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

We're about a year away from general CFB fans turning against the Big 10 like everyone's done with the SEC over the past 5 years. And it will be delicious.
