TIL: The Chinese word for (indigo) blue, laam4 藍, might be related to Malay/Indonesian tarum (indigo) and Thai kraam คราม (indigo). According to Schuessler, it's an areal word from SEA that now exists in Sino-Tibetan, Kra-Dai, and Austronesian languages.

The colossal Tariatyn Am khirigsüür in western Central Mongolia! Khirigsüürs (хиригсүүрүүд, хиргисүүрүүд) are impressive stone monuments that date to the Late and Final Bronze ages of Mongolia (~1400-700 BCE). 1/n
