🔴Live for October Partner-Push Stream #6! Golden Demon grind Day 1 - painting Aethon Shaans base www.twitch.tv/cryocheese

Work in progress photo of the Aethon Shaan miniature I'm currently painting for Golden Demon as part of a 40k Unit entry.

He's painting true to lore, with black and white armor parts, red fabric, steel insignias, and minor details, like leathers, glowing lenses and more.

He's placed on a newly built and still unpainted base set on a round and slanted resin plinth.

He's got his new base and a newly refined (basically repainted) feather cloak backside. On track to finishing him during this week - all live on twitch, btw! - and bringing him to SMC and Golden Demon next weeend and the one after. #AethonShaan #ravenguard #minipainting #miniature #warhammer40k

🔴Live now! I've finished Aethon Shaans base last night off camera, so now we're back to putting proper time and progress into Shaan! Can he be competitive? Maybe not in this category, but I will try my best! www.twitch.tv/cryocheese

❄️Live with October Partner-Push Stream #3 (If you can - joining as early as possible help a lot! 💜) Second box of Aethon Shaan is ordered, he's gonna be a single entry. So I'll go all in on his paintjob. Aaaaand will have to figure out a new plinth and base! www.twitch.tv/cryocheese

Just look at the other three Marines compared to how far I've gotten with Aethon Shaans paintjob! And when you do, keep in mind, that pretty much THE most important aspect of judging the Unit category, is *consistency* across each mini and all parts of each mini! I was never gonna make it in time.

I've had to accept the reality that I won't finish this Unit entry for Golden Demon this year, but I'm still going to keep painting it and enter it next year! I still adore the idea and am happy with all the progress I've made so far ❤️

I was gone for a work trip for six days, so I only have a small set of changes to show. What I got painted yesterday are the leather details on Shaan, as well as some improvements of the torso armor. Giving the black armor better volumetric reflections has been overdue. #wh40k #nmm #ravenguard #gd
