iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I just revisited DCeased by the wonderful @tomtaylormade.bsky.social. He knows how to craft an out-of-continuity story that keeps the tension and emotions high, and keeps you curious about what curveball is gonna get thrown NEXT! One of my favorite superhero vs zombie stories, full stop.

Gonna give props to @erikamoen.bsky.social and Matthew Nolan for their comic that I can't talk about on YouTube under any circumstance. Oh Joy Sex Toy! It's about sex, sex health, and any other word starting with those three letters. It's funny, it's witty, it's informative, and it's great! 🍑

How do I know that internet brainrot is real? The text on this paperback literally triggered my meme-addled brain like I'm a god damned sleeper agent.

This is why Ace doesn't get to work in the field anymore, putting Batman & Robin to shame. #Batman #DC #AceRepresentation

For the unfamiliar, definitely check out Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham, by the eternally eldritch @mikemignola.bsky.social and the continually captivating @rpace.bsky.social! Batman meets Lovecraft in the most distressing way, full to the brim with horror beyond name and terror beyond time!

Sending some appreciation to the literary power couple of @shannonhale.bsky.social and @halespawn.bsky.social! Being a DC guy, I love their Diana & Nubia stories and bought them for my niece for her birthday 🎂 And the ever-elusive T Whitwick has had a copy of Rapunzel's Revenge since it released!

Since we haven't gotten casting for #Batman or #WonderWoman yet, I REALLY hope they do this in the DCU

Gonna keep the Dark Knight train rolling by recommending Dark Night: A True Batman Story, written by @pauldini.bsky.social and illustrated by Eduardo Risso. It's a powerfully emotional story regarding Dini's traumatic real-life experience in 1993 and the long road to recovery. Incredibly worth it.

Gonna take a moment to spotlight Batman: Creature of the Night by the amazing @kurtbusiek.bsky.social and John Paul Leon! It's a very unique version of Batman in a realm that's without heroes. In fact, Batman himself is fiction but has somehow made it into reality?! A very entertaining read!

Much love to @timsheridan.bsky.social for their fantastic writing. I'm especially a fan of Alan Scott: The Green Lantern and the animated adaptation of Batman: The Long Halloween! Amazingly heartfelt work that means a lot to me personally. Thanks, Tim! #Batman #DC #GreenLantern

Holy Hanna do I frickin' LOVE Batman: City of Madness by @cjward.bsky.social! I seriously think this one is gonna stick with me for a looong time, guys! A Batman story that goes full-bore into eldritch terror while still fitting in poignant emotional moments, I can't say I loved this thing enough!

Sending an immense amount of love to Mariko Tamaki and @stevepugh.bsky.social for Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass! A very unique, engaging, and emotional interpretation of Quinn's story that I positively love to bits! Not to mention that the art is FRICKIN' AMAZING! #DC #HarleyQuinn #Batman

Today, in "stuff I read that's dumb as rocks," Batman nearly suffocates inside a plastic bag! Worth noting is that he's freed by a guy with a switchblade, so that means it was literally JUST a plastic bag. The hero Gotham deserves... #Batman #Comics #DC

Y'all remember Warriors, right? It's not just me? Well, apparently, they have some graphic novels, and I really love the one brought to us by @danjolley.bsky.social, Erin Hunter, and Bettina Kurkoski 👀 Highly recommend it for fans and, honestly, cat people in general! #Warriors #Comics #Cats

Shout out to @shadiaminart.bsky.social for her great artwork and illustrations! Especially a fan of her work on Spider-Ham and her contribution in Electrum. (I'll try really hard not to think about the implications of Spider-Ham eating a hot dog...) #comics #marvel #spiderham

I have to, HAVE TO talk about The Boy Wonder by @juniba.bsky.social! It's one of the best comics of the year, and it's GORGEOUS! It's an amazing, beautiful interpretation of Damian Wayne's story. You should check it out! Juni also has a Kickstarter for their next project. So check that out, too!

Wondering what might make a good holiday gift for the young-un's? Look no further than the Batman Mystery Casebook by Sholly Fisch and @chrisuminga.bsky.social! It's a well-paced mystery story aimed at younger readers, with an emphasis on the reader trying to solve the mystery before Batman does!

If you're wondering how I'm different from other YouTubers who talk about #DC... I'm the guy on the left.

Call it counterproductive, but I just read the graphic adaptation of Wolfwalkers by @samuelsattin.bsky.social, @tommcartooner.bsky.social, and Ross Stewart before finally watching the movie later this evening. Absolutely jaw-dropping, couldn't put this one down! Much love to everybody involved! 💜

Every time I look at Dan Mora's art, I say aloud that he doesn't miss. I love his art style. But this is definitely my favorite. #DC #HowBatmanvSupermanShouldHaveEnded #Comics
