Bluesky's algorithm must have changed again, so I'm now blocking a flood of religious BS, AI slop, and "woman mistaking Bluesky for OnlyFans" posts. Maybe stop pushing garbage accounts and just show me things that match my interests, okay Bluesky? 😑

If they ever did a Harry Potter MtG set, it would utterly destroy any goodwill they still have, especially the LGBT+ community. Giving money to JKR is funding her campaign of hatred against trans people. Period. Anyone who's fine being complicit in that is not someone I'd want at my game table.

Making my way through Townfall after fixing the crash issues. It's cool so far. I just wish there weren't so many mandatory stealth sections. The only stealth games I've ever really enjoyed have been the Thief games, and at least they usually gave you the option to blackjack threats.

Looks like I can play Silent Hill Townfall TODAY since I preordered it. Got the download set up before I went to bed last night, so I should be able to jump in when I get home from work. LET'S GO.

If you unironically use terms like "unalived themselves" to refer to someone's SUICIDE because it plays better with algorithms... Fuck all the way off. Using childish TikTok euphemisms makes you sound so fucking disrespectful, and tells me all you really value is your viewcount.

Oh man, I almost forgot that Silent Hill Townfall comes out this week. Already have my copy preordered, so I can start playing once it drops on the 24th. Will it be as good as Silent Hill f? LET'S FIND OUT.

Listening to a true crime podcast yesterday, and the host stopped mid-story to explain what a floppy disc was. I started wondering why he was explaining it, then realised a whole lot of listeners were probably born after floppies stopped being a thing. Time to shrivel up and die, I guess. 😭

Man, Etsy is such a cesspit these days. It's infested with AI slop, full of scam products and shops, and full of mass produced garbage being passed off as "handmade". Which sucks, because it used to be a great place for me to find cool shirts and pins. :( I ordered 5 shirts a few months ago...

Just finished the Heavensward expansion for FFXIV. Liked it for the most part, except for all the retconning it did to undo the events at the end of A Realm Reborn. Reminds me of a comic series when a new writer takes over and immediately undoes everything the last one did b/c they didn't like it.

Here's how to turn off the Gen-AI training on Twitch. Step 1. Go to Account Settings. Step 2. Go to Security & Privacy. Step 3. Scroll all the way down till you see "Training for Generative AI". Step 4. Turn that son of a bitch off forever. Step 5. Profit. Hope this helps anyone! ❤️

Fuck Canada Computers. My partner and I have spent a week trying to order a laptop from them, emailing back and forth with them, and getting our cards rejected for NO FUCKING REASON. It's taken so long that the sale is over now, so I guess we just have to order it somewhere else.

I probably won't play on Switch 2 because I prefer mouse and keyboard for MMOs. But releasing on Switch 2 will make it accessible for people who don't have gaming quality PC's, so that's always good. ❤️

Crowsea @crowsea.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

I mean, it's a good sentiment and all. But the ultimate goal should be to do away with tipping and make sure people are paid a living wage to begin with, not to keep enabling billion dollar companies to say, "It's on the customer to make sure our employees can afford rent and food."

010

Crowsea @crowsea.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

My default obsession in MMOs is to collect pets, and I'm doing exactly that in FFXIV. Most recent acquisition is a little FFIII Cloud of Darkness minion ("Puff of Darkness") that follows me around and occasionally rides on my shoulder. ❤️

Currently my only choices for getting a tea while at work are Tim Hortons (who are supporting Rowling and her TERF agenda) and a local coffee place that uses shitty AI slop for its posters and ads. I hate it here too.

Been reminded of one of the things I dislike about FFXIV: the ungodly long queue times for duties. Twice now I've queued for over an hour for a handful of quest-related duties, and didn't get a single group. It's discouraging when you're stonewalled in a quest by not being able to find a party.

Hope the show runners have an ending in mind, since the creators couldn't be bothered to finish the actual comic series. 🤔

Holy shit the number of people in the comments going "HOW DID THEY NOT KNOW?" is WILD. Outside the fighting game community, PEOPLE DON'T KNOW. (This is literally the first I'm hearing about it.) There's no malice here, and they did the right thing by cancelling the event. What more do people want?

People saying "at least Nintendo doesn't suck compared to Sony and MS"? Yeah, no. Nintendo has already rolled out Game Key Cards for Switch 2 games. A Game Key Card does NOT contain the game. It's a glorified download code. It will be useless when Nintendo shuts down the Switch 2 store in 20 years.

Good, I'm not the only one doing this. It's absolutely INFURIATING to see people post AI slop, and when they're called out on it in the comments, they go "It's just a funny picture/video/meme, so what if it's AI??!!1 😡" Immediate block from me, every time.

020

Crowsea @crowsea.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

Started up my FFXIV account again. I'd forgotten that the player races were basically limited to human, elf, short human, tall human, human with horns, catgirl, slightly different catgirl, and Fran from FFXII. FFXIV does some things better than WoW, but player race diversity is not one of them.

It's Canada Day today, but it's also a sort of Memorial Day in Newfoundland for the battle of Beaumont-Hamel. 90% of the Nfld regiment was wiped out in 20 minutes while trying to storm German trenches in World War 1. There's always a memorial ceremony here along with the Canada Day celebrations.

The lilac trees in the back yard are in bloom, so it smells nice outside. Also, it's a rare clear and sunny day after weeks of clouds and rain. I just wish it were a little bit warmer than 17 degrees C. No much, just into the low 20s so I don't have to bring a jacket with me every day.
